In a village of a certain place, there was a teacher named Mañjuśrīmitra from the Brahmin caste, who was skilled in the five sciences. As soon as he was prophesied by the noble Mañjuśrī, he went to the Cool Grove charnel ground, met with Garab Dorje, and received complete empowerment and guidance. Afterwards, at the source of the Dantik River, the teacher Garab Dorje passed away into a mass of light. He uttered a lament of grief, and just by seeing the testament that combined the three key points descending, Mañjuśrīmitra himself became one with the realization of Garab Dorje, and abiding in the spontaneously perfect great expanse of immeasurable collections of dharmas, he divided the Mind Section, Space Section, and Quintessential Instruction Section into three categories, and further divided the Quintessential Essence of Thigle, which is deeper than the quintessential instructions, into Explanatory Tantras and Oral Transmission. He annotated the secret Oral Transmissions. Since he did not find a vessel for propagating the Explanatory Tantras, he hid them in Vajrasana, and the teacher himself resided in the Sosadvipa charnel ground. At that time, in the land of China, in the Shosha continent, the son of father Geden and mother Nangsalma, named Śrī Siṃha, who possessed the qualities of learning, on the way to the western city called Gold Continent, was prophesied by the noble Avalokiteśvara, and as it was also shown in the bathing pond east of Mount Wutai, he went to the Sosadvipa charnel ground, met with Mañjuśrīmitra, and Mañjuśrīmitra prophesied all the teachings and texts, and in that very charnel ground, he passed away into a mass of light into the sky. At that time, Śrī Siṃha uttered words of grief, and thus descended the testament called the Six Meditative Experiences. This Mañjuśrīmitra was the former one, and the latter one was born miraculously from a lotus in western India, and was known as the later Mañjuśrīmitra, and he taught all the secret mantras to the teacher Padmasambhava. After that, Śrī Siṃha took out the texts from the stone slab of Vajrasana, and resided under the Bodhi tree in the northern land of China, and divided the most secret texts into four sections: outer, inner, secret, and unsurpassed. He hid the first three sections and the last one in succession as treasures in the pillars of the auspicious Thousand-Doored Temple, and then resided in the Cool Bestowal charnel ground. Then, at that time, in the city called Elephant Hill, west of the Transformed Light Garden in central India.

Born as the son of the householder Deden Khorlo and the mother named Clear Awareness, was Vimalamitra. In the eastern city of Kamashila in eastern India, his father was Chandala Shintalaghapa, and his mother was a virtuous being. Their son was Jñanasutra, also known as Yeshe Do (Wisdom Sutra). These two were among the five hundred paṇḍitas at Vajrasana (Bodh Gaya), and were wise men whose minds were deeply united due to connections from previous lives. At that time, while they were taking a stroll in the lotus grove in the west, Vajrasattva prophesied: "You two have been practicing Dharma as paṇḍitas for five hundred lifetimes, but you have not attained the fruit before, nor will you attain it now. If you wish to attain enlightenment in this lifetime, go to the temple under the Bodhi tree in China." Vimala went immediately. At the Bodhi tree, he met the wise Shri Singha and received the oral instructions of the tantras and the inner, outer, and secret sections, and then returned to India. When he met Yeshe Do on the outskirts of the city of Delight, he remembered the previous prophecy and immediately went, traveling nine months' distance in one day through blessing. He met Shri Singha in the Cool Grove charnel ground and first received all the sections of the oral transmission thigle, inner, outer, and secret. Then he received the unsurpassable secret teachings and prophesied, "The texts will appear to you when the time is ripe." Then Shri Singha also passed away into a mass of light, and Jñanasutra prayed with grief, and the legacy called the Seven Nails Testament descended. Yeshe Do extracted the texts from Tashi Trigo and resided in the charnel ground of Bhasim in India. At that time, Vimala was prophesied by the ḍākiṇī Palgyi Lodrö (Glorious Intellect), went to the charnel ground of Bhasim, and requested Jñanasutra to accept him as a disciple. He gave all the complete instructions, and then the impure body vanished invisibly, and the legacy called the Fourth Method of Vimala's Handprint descended. After that, he stayed during the day as the object of worship for the two kings of eastern and western India, and at night he taught Dharma to the ḍākiṇīs in the charnel ground. He practiced the instructions of the Nyingthig (Heart Essence) for seven years and reached the limit, and then again arose in the body of the Great Transference and diligently worked to gradually lead three thousand individuals to enlightenment. After that, Vimala
