Although so, but because it is said that it must be done before the appearance is clear, it is very difficult to repent of such a fall, and in any case, one should think of not being contaminated by the fall of the bodhisattva's precepts. Those methods of purification also symbolize the dawn producing immeasurable merit with skillful means, and Akashagarbha symbolizes abiding in the profound reality of the self-nature of all dharmas being completely pure, which is also symbolized for both superior and intermediate faculties. The inferior faculty is: contemplating the object of confession, whether it is real or visualized, is the power of the object; repenting of the sins that have occurred with strong remorse, reciting its name and confessing, is the power of refutation; striving for virtuous deeds with and without characteristics such as oral recitation, offering, circumambulation, and building stupas, is the power of the six doors of universal practice; resolving not to do these sinful deeds even if it costs one's life is called the power of restoration, possessing the four powers. Morning, noon, afternoon, evening, midnight, dawn, day and night reciting the names of the thirty-five Buddhas and prostrating, the accumulation of confessing sins, the accumulation of dedication, the sutras of these three should be recited as the confession of sins, as it is said in the Bodhicaryavatara: Three times during the day and night, the three accumulations should be recited, relying on the Buddha and the Bodhicitta, it can pacify the remaining sins. Thus, for the order of faculties, the corresponding method of repentance is, the great accomplished black practitioner said: As some inferior ones, due to attachment to things, feel regret and unease in their hearts, so they confess their sins in front of others, and then gradually stay away from sins with precepts, and some can also be liberated from them. Some intermediate ones, by pleasing the deities of tantras, mantras, and secret mantras, the bodhisattva Akashagarbha, etc., obtain the permission of the deities, and thus are liberated from falling. Some superior ones, for the things that lead to falling, recognize that it is the Bodhicitta itself, so they abide in it effortlessly. As it is said in the Sutra of the Display of the Absence of Origination of All Dharmas: Manjushri, if a bodhisattva knows that karma has no self-nature and that retribution also has no self-nature,

Thus, he will obtain the complete purification of karmic obscurations. So it is said. Secondly, the system of the noble Asanga is: In the "Three Vows," it says, "If a root downfall occurs, it can be retaken; a medium downfall, then confess before three; a minor one, confess by stating the matter before one. If there is no harmonious person, then restrain with the mind." Therefore, abandoning the aspiration mind and committing root downfalls like those of great entanglement, if these occur, then one should strive greatly in confession, restraint, accumulation, and purification. Similar downfalls committed with medium entanglement require confession before three or more people; root downfalls committed with small entanglement, and also the forty-six transgressions, depending on whether the motivation is afflicted or not, those that are afflicted are purified by confessing before one or more people. The "Twenty Verses on Vows" says, "The vows should be retaken again. Medium downfalls are confessed to three. The remaining ones before one. Afflicted or unafflicted, according to one's own mind." Thus, among the three types of liberation for bodhisattvas of superior, medium, and inferior faculties, like a shepherd or the incomparable mind of enlightenment, that is, the sharp-witted bodhisattvas who wish to liberate all beings first and then themselves, take three countless eons; like a medicinal herb or the mind of supreme wisdom, that is, the medium bodhisattvas who wish to liberate themselves and sentient beings together, take seven countless eons; like a king or the mind of great desire, that is, the dull-witted bodhisattvas who wish to liberate themselves first and then liberate others, take thirty-three countless eons. These are said to generally cultivate the eightfold noble path, and specifically, each mainly practices the ten perfections from ethics to wisdom. When the path of learning of these countless eons is completed, and the two obscurations, along with their habitual tendencies, are transformed into the nature of non-arising, there is no need to cultivate antidotes, and one goes to the path of no more learning, thereby attaining unsurpassed enlightenment. As it is said in the "Ratnakuta Sutra": "That which arises from the mind of great desire is liberated from the cycle of thirty-three countless eons. That which arises from the mind of supreme wisdom goes forth with seven countless eons. That which arises from the incomparable mind, then countless
