The inside of a rocky cave is potent, the center of a deep ravine is potent; the entrance of a cliff cave is potent, in those places, sever the female spirits, demons, and local deities. The inside of an empty house is potent, the vicinity of ruins is potent; the remains of a pond are potent, the crossroads of a village are potent; the center of a market is potent, the crossroads of a road are potent; in those places, sever the malevolent spirits, demons, and so forth. In water facing east, a naga of the royal caste resides; facing south, a noble caste; facing west, a Brahmin; facing north, an outcaste resides, so sever the naga clans. At the time of severing naga spirits, earth lords, and earth demons; because fainting, confusion, and darkness arise, uproot them; unfurl wisdom like a banner, restrain the gaze in the sky; immediately, a terrifying appearance arises.
