Offer at the appropriate time, do not quarrel, do not let the torma spoil. In the practice room, do not allow female dogs, lepers, or impotent men to enter. Avoid the food and drink of all these people. Do not shave the beard and mustache, do not let others sleep in your bed. Do not pass the mala in your hand. Do not put down the bow, do not break the arrow, do not put weapons on top. Food, clothing, etc., can be enjoyed freely, and the deity itself should not be used until the signs of accomplishment of the practice have appeared. Do not protect or bless other sick or demon-possessed people through that deity. If you do, it will lead to decline because the signs will diminish, so avoid it, it is said. Also, whatever outer and inner practice you do, do not exceed the limit; do not shave hair and beard; do not cut nails, do not wash the face; do not drink alcohol immoderately; do not mix words with others; avoid onions, garlic, radishes, etc., which destroy the power of mantras; there is no conflict with the substances of the tsok. That is, once the boundaries of each session have been determined, if reciting during the gaps between each session causes the tongue to tire, you can drink tea or take medicine to cure the disease without restriction. After that, engaging in practice without hesitation in eating, drinking, talking with others, etc., will not become pure recitation and practice. Therefore, as mentioned above, it is very important to maintain mindfulness and awareness. In addition, the beginning, middle, and end of the tsok can be applied to all four sessions, so that the tsok is complete and auspicious. However, except for group tsoks, practices, and large practices, here, for solitary practice, if only one lower tsok is performed per day, even if the other sessions are not completed, there will be no fault of transgression, and it will also be somewhat helpful for the progress of the recitation. Once you have the confidence to understand the method of tsok offering, it will be comfortable and good to perform either the generation and completion stages with or without elaboration. If you want to elaborate, do not withdraw the deity between sessions, and if you perform the tsok torma, the image of the second main deity will appear from the heart of the main deity and reside in the charnel ground at the edge of the mandala, and perform the tsok offering and the torma offering to the protectors, etc. If you withdraw the mandala and then perform it, it is sufficient to have the deity between sessions perform it. Thus, the number of recitations for the outer practice is said to be 1.8 million recitations, which is about the deficiencies and excesses of mantras.
