Then, what suffering do those who abandon these things bear? Think about what happiness and joy you many Tibetan people have, he said. The translator asked the teacher: Then, if one abandons the affairs of this life, it seems that there are many bad things, and even if one abandons them, one cannot be satisfied. What is this? The teacher said: That is because even though one has obtained a human body, one does not have the support of accumulating merit, and because one has not made a firm decision, one is controlled by demons, and having a rotten heart after obtaining a human body indicates that they desire to experience the suffering of evil beings. The translator asked the teacher: Then, are those who have obtained a human body but do not have the Dharma completely meaningless? The teacher said: After obtaining a human body, if one has excellent Dharma, then that is excellent meaning; if one has intermediate Dharma, then that is intermediate meaning; if one has inferior Dharma, then that is inferior meaning; if one does not have any Dharma at all, even if one obtains a human body and becomes a powerful Chakravartin king, on the basis of having no meaning at all, one deceives oneself, regards the short life as eternal, and through endless deception and vows, just like going to a treasure island and returning empty-handed, one cannot hold even a billion manis, but instead carries the burden of sins, karma, and afflictions, and walks with the messengers of Yama, and must stir up the three evil realms. Compared to such a meaningless human body, I would rather not have such a human body. The translator asked the teacher: Then, are the kings, queens, and ministers who have power and wealth in this life not happy? The teacher said: The kings, queens, and ministers who have power, wealth, and fame in this life, if they do not correspond to the Dharma, are more miserable than the beings of the three evil realms. The translator asked the teacher: Then, what is the reason for that? The teacher said: The kings, queens, and ministers who correspond to the Dharma are attached to this life, their pride is strong, their jealousy is rampant, they have no compassion, because they have wealth, they are not satisfied, they need more; because they have more, they need to rot; because they have territory, they are not satisfied, they need to fight; because they fight

One should not tolerate, one must conquer others; being employed, one should not tolerate, one must be feared; being feared, one should not tolerate, one must kill; having bodily comfort, one should not tolerate, one must plot; having plots, one should not tolerate, one must flourish; speaking once, one should not tolerate, one must accomplish the purpose; accomplishing the purpose, one should not tolerate, one must have great fame; having power, one should not tolerate, one must be great; being great, one should not tolerate, one must compete in skills; having sin in oneself, one should not tolerate, one must teach others; being taught, one should not tolerate, one must accomplish together; even eating a mouthful of food and drinking a sip of water are nothing but public food and public water that go into taxes; whatever is said and done is nothing but acts of pride, arrogance, and jealousy, and there is no way to do even a speck of good; having been born as a king and having power, the more broad-minded one is towards this illusory karma, the more one must recklessly engage in the ten non-virtues; because many like oneself appear from other places, fearing that one's interests will be lost, one must commit the five inexpiable sins as if cooking food; translators who are born as kings, let alone being happy, are born as kings of evil deeds in advance, wanting to go to the three lower realms; moreover, not only is it himself, but everyone connected to him will be led to the lower realms; the so-called evil friend is the king of evil deeds; rather than taking such an evil body, it is better to be born in the three lower realms, experience the suffering of the lower realms, thereby purifying the karmic obscurations of the past, and quickly approaching higher realms, the teacher said; the translator asked the teacher: Then, are those who possess the fruits and wealth accumulated in the past in this life happy? The teacher said: With the merit of giving in the past life, the rich who now possess wealth, if they make offerings upwards and give downwards, and know how to store the wealth of the future life as an inexhaustible treasure, then, like a temporary guest getting a moment's rest, they will be a little happy; if the good deeds of the past life make one possess wealth in this life, but one is bound by stinginess and cannot practice according to the Dharma, then it is like the honey of bees, which is of little use, the teacher said; the translator asked the teacher: Those young and beautiful women with beautiful appearances seem happier than any other beings, are they temporarily happier than other beings? The teacher said:

The venerable one said: Once a woman's body is taken, let alone being happier than others, all the sufferings of the six realms are complete. Desire burns like fire, and because one does not meet a desired husband, one possesses the suffering of a hungry ghost. Even if one meets a husband, one suffers greatly from the torment of bearing karmic children in the body, possessing the suffering of hot and cold hells. Having been born as a woman, one must leave one's own birth family and go to a completely unfamiliar family, possessing the suffering of the bardo. If one lives in such a family, one cannot bear the torment and scolding of the elders, and engages in constant quarrels, possessing the suffering of the Asuras. When giving birth to karmic children, one must look at the land of death three times with one's eyes, possessing the suffering of the death and fall of the gods. Because speech is careless, if it gets better, they say it's too good; if it doesn't get better, they say it's all faults. No matter what one does, it is difficult to do well and one can only be controlled by others, possessing the suffering of animals. Among these sufferings, one grows old without realizing how life is being exhausted, and even the children who have been raised with great effort do not think, 'This is my mother, I am very grateful,' but are of one mind with their wives, while the mother receives leftovers, broken bowls, and tattered clothes, and sleeps inside or outside the door, possessing the suffering of birth, old age, sickness, and death of the human realm. Therefore, once a woman's body is taken, there is not even a moment of happiness, only suffering. Great suffering is the ripening of bad karma, skilled at producing bad results, and because one is self-important and does not consider suffering as suffering, it is truly ridiculous. Once a woman's body is taken, if one encounters the profound secret mantra Dharma and becomes a partner who increases happiness with a qualified yogi, then one possesses temporary and ultimate happiness, and that is the best of women. If one has not accumulated the accumulations of merit and wisdom, one will not obtain such a body, the venerable one said. The translator asked the teacher: Then, how many such supreme female bodies are there in the world? The teacher said: Such supreme female bodies appear only sporadically in the world, and there are four types: those born from a place.
