Then, the seventh, the consecration ceremony, is shown through seventeen points: Offering requests, performing fire pujas, dispelling obscurations, offering baths, anointing, wiping, preparing for the empowerment of approach and accomplishment, requesting the purpose of empowerment, bestowing empowerment, offering victory banners, removing faults and offering special substances, adorning with ornaments, offering clothes, offering music, offering with mandalas, praising with praises according to one's own tradition, reciting the essence of dependent arising and scattering flowers. First, offering requests: The patron holds auspicious substances and offerings, joins their palms with a respectful mind, and says this: Alas! Protector of beings, Lama, embodiment of power, From the vast expanse of compassion and all-pervading wisdom, In order to perfect the two accumulations, bless this support, Bestow the inseparable accomplishment of samaya and wisdom! Request three times. The response is given: Ho! This support of body, speech, and mind that you have erected, With excellent materials, well-arranged, pleasing, and beautiful to behold, I will accomplish the wisdom deity descending upon the samaya body, So that supreme and common accomplishments may arise. Fortunate child, cultivate supreme joy! Thus, the permission is given. Second, the fire puja: According to one's own tradition, perform a peaceful or wrathful fire puja according to the size of the fire. Third, dispelling obscurations: Light a fire in a pan, circle the image three times, and place it in front. Wipe the impurities of the image with rice porridge and alcohol, circling outwards, and throw it into the fire. Also, wash and wipe with water and three types of yogurt porridge, and throw it into the pan. Circle the image three times outwards, and thinking of the striking substances as obscuration substances, throw them into the water. Fourth, the bath: Wash in order with seven waters, including twigs, areca nuts, soap nuts, grain flour, precious substances, fragrant water, and medicinal water. Hūṃ! To the victors of the three times and their heirs, Although you do not possess the imprints of the three poisons, delusion, and conceptualization, In order to purify the two obscurations of sentient beings' karma, By offering this bath water to the bodies of the victors, May the obscurations of sentient beings' bodies be purified!
