In this dark realm of suffering, tormented by karma since beginningless time, trembling with great fear, I beseech the lama and deities for refuge, please let us enter. Having said this, the karma vajra master leads them to the corridor outside the curtain. All the masters are adorned with ornaments, and music resounds. Incense of guggul is burned. Eight or four wrathful deities, etc., holding skull-staffs, ropes, iron hooks, etc., strike those who come to receive empowerment, and say: Hūṃ! Great palace, realm where accomplishments emanate! In this pure land of liberation, maṇḍala of secret mantra! For the profound practice of meditation and secret ritual, those who are not authorized to see, those who are not vessels for hearing and explanation, hosts of demons, heretics, evil spirits, and sorcerers, with blazing samādhi and blazing asceticism, utterly torment and destroy them like dust! Hūṃ hūṃ phaṭ phaṭ, etc., recite various fierce mantras. The glorious, powerful, wrathful samādhi dispels all obstacles! Then, the disciples, holding flowers in their hands, pray from outside the curtain, saying: Hoḥ! Vajra King, loving protector, lord of compassion! With compassion, please grant us, the disciples gathered here, the accomplishment of the Dharma of maturation and liberation! Having said this. Then, the lama says: Kyēma! Listen, fortunate sons of noble family! You are endowed with karma and fortune. Having accumulated merit from past deeds, now the time has come to receive maturation and liberation in this palace maṇḍala. I will bestow all supreme and common accomplishments. This supreme secret mantra ritual, outside this place, to those without vows, with wrong views, of the demon class, and those who are argumentative, doubtful, do not speak to impure beings! If you guard this secret vow, you will attain supreme accomplishment in this life, not to mention common accomplishments. If you break the secret vow, you will fall into hell, burned by the blazing vajra fire. Therefore, you must guard it well! Oṃ āḥ hūṃ amṛta samaya! Nara kana hūṃ! Then, handing them the rosary, Hūṃ! Having composed this, child of yours! Until the noble Avalokiteśvara, the guru, does not arise in the center of your heart, practice contemplation and meditation properly, and protect the samaya vows perfectly. Then, the guru places the mudra of blazing jewels, along with the vajra and bell in both hands, on the crown of the head, and recites: Hūṃ! Child, do not be distracted, listen with one-pointed attention! I am the supreme essence of the three kāyas! All of saṃsāra and nirvāṇa are my manifestations! The body that embodies all buddhas! The supreme guide of all six realms of beings! The deity who bestows siddhis upon you! Since I am the vajra master, do not disrespect me, and in accordance with the three doors, protect all the vows perfectly! In this maṇḍala that dispels the darkness of ignorance, I will place you and bestow all siddhis! Therefore, protect the vows from the heart! Oṃ Vajra Samaya Ja (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, meaning: Oṃ Vajra Commitment Ja)! Sarva Siddhi Hūṃ (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, meaning: All Accomplishment Hūṃ)! Holding the auspicious flower crest, the empowerment of the secret vidyādhara name, since you, the fortunate one, have obtained this, may you obtain the empowerment of the crest name, where samaya and wisdom are inseparable!
