Or by uttering the name of that enemy, or making an image of him, one intensely performs vidya-mantras there, and by the magic of curses and zombies, one creates obstacles to life, or desires to completely destroy the body. For those who have heard the name of the Bhagavan Tathagata Medicine Guru Vaidurya Prabha, no one can create obstacles, and they will abide in mutual loving-kindness, helpfulness, and harmlessness. They will be content with what they have. Manjushri, furthermore, among the fourfold assembly, monks, nuns, laymen, and laywomen, and other sons or daughters of good family who have faith, if they closely abide by the eight-limbed upavasatha vows, holding the precepts for one year or three months, thinking in their minds: By this root of my virtue, may I be born in the western Pure Land where the Tathagata Amitabha resides. If they make such aspirations, those who have heard the name of the Bhagavan Tathagata Medicine Guru Vaidurya Prabha, at the time of death, eight Bodhisattvas will come by means of miraculous power and show the way, and they will be born there by appearing from lotuses of various colors. Those who are born in the world of the gods, having been born there, their previous roots of virtue will not be exhausted, and they will not go to the lower realms. Then, having died and transmigrated from there, they will be born in this human world, and will become sovereign wheel-turning kings of the four continents, placing countless billions of beings on the path of the ten virtuous actions. Even in dreams, I will cause the name of the Buddha to be heard in their ears. If it is wrapped with five-colored threads and placed in a clean place, wherever this sutra resides, great kings with their retinues, and also billions of hundreds of thousands of kotis of other gods will come. Those who hold the name of the Blessed One, the Tathagata Medicine Master Bhaisajyaguru, and the distinctions of past aspirations, will not die untimely deaths, and no one will be able to steal their radiance; even if it is stolen, it will be restored. The Blessed One said: Manjushri, it is so, just as you have said.
