If harm, infectious diseases, or conflicts occur, the king or royal family member who has received empowerment should generate a mind of loving-kindness towards all sentient beings. Those who have been imprisoned should be released. As mentioned before, if such offerings are made to the Bhagavan Tathagata Medicine Buddha Lapis Lazuli Light, then the root of virtue of the king or royal family member who has received empowerment, and the special power of the past aspirations of the Bhagavan Tathagata Medicine Buddha Lapis Lazuli Light, will cause the country to be peaceful and the crops to be plentiful. The wind and rain will be timely, and the crops will ripen. All sentient beings living in that country will also be free from disease, happy, and have great joy in abundance. In that country, yakshas, rakshasas, spirits, and fierce flesh-eaters will not harm sentient beings. All bad omens will not be seen. The lifespan, complexion, strength, health, and power of the king or royal family member who has received empowerment will increase significantly. Then, the venerable Ananda said to the Bodhisattva Savior: 'Son of good family, how can one who has exhausted their lifespan also have it increased?' The Bodhisattva Savior said: 'Venerable Ananda, have you not heard from the Tathagata that there are nine untimely deaths? Therefore, the formulas for mantras and medicines have been taught. For sentient beings afflicted by disease, even if the illness is not severe, they may lack medicine and care, or they may encounter incompetent doctors. This is the first untimely death. The second untimely death is when some die due to the king's punishment. The third untimely death is when some are very negligent, and for those who are negligent, non-humans will steal their essence. The fourth untimely death is when some are burned to death by fire. The fifth untimely death is when some are drowned by water. The sixth untimely death is when some fall into the midst of lions, tigers, wolves, snakes, and fierce beasts and die. Untimely death

The seventh untimely death is: those who fall from cliffs. The eighth untimely death is: those who are killed by a combination of poison, curses, and zombies. The ninth untimely death is: those who die from hunger and thirst, suffering from not finding food and drink. In short, these major untimely deaths taught by the Thus-Gone One, other untimely deaths are countless and immeasurable. Then, twelve great yaksha generals gathered in that assembly, namely, the great yaksha general Jijig, the great yaksha general Vajra, the great yaksha general Holder of Jewels, the great yaksha general Holder of Planets, the great yaksha general Wind, the great yaksha general Possessor of Places, the great yaksha general Holder of Power, the great yaksha general Holder of Drink, the great yaksha general Holder of Speech, the great yaksha general Holder of Thought, the great yaksha general Holder of Movement, and the great yaksha general Accomplisher. These twelve great yaksha generals, each great yaksha general has seven hundred thousand attendant yakshas. With one voice, they said to the Blessed One: "By the power of the Buddha, we have heard the name of the Blessed One, the Thus-Gone One, Medicine Guru Vaidurya Light, and we will no longer have the fear of falling into evil destinies and death. Therefore, we will unite together and, for as long as we live, take refuge in the Buddha! Take refuge in the Dharma! Take refuge in the Sangha! We are willing to serve for the benefit of all sentient beings, and for medicine and happiness. In particular, wherever in villages, cities, towns, or monasteries, those sentient beings who practice this sutra, and who hold, offer, and revere the name of the Blessed One, the Thus-Gone One, Medicine Guru Vaidurya Light, we will protect them and completely liberate them from all harm."

Do. May all wishes be completely fulfilled. Then, the Blessed One gave praise to those great yaksha commanders. Those great yaksha commanders, it is excellent, excellent that you have joined in order to make offerings and remember the Blessed One, the Tathagata, the Medicine Guru, the Light of Lapis Lazuli, and for the benefit of all sentient beings. Then, some of the lesser wisdom sons of the gods in that assembly thought to themselves: If one were to pass beyond as many Buddha-fields as there are grains of sand in the Ganges River, merely hearing and holding the names of those Tathagatas would cause all sentient beings to have such a special quality of merit. Then, the Blessed One, the Tathagata Shakyamuni, knowing the thoughts of those lesser wisdom sons of the gods, entered into the samadhi called "Activating All the Fields of the Tathagatas." As soon as the Blessed One entered into that samadhi, all the realms of the three thousand great thousand world systems shook violently. Showers of celestial sandalwood powder and clouds of flowers also fell. Those seven Tathagatas also descended to this Sahā world. They sat on celestial lion thrones arising from the previous roots of virtue of the Tathagatas, and were surrounded by all the Bodhisattvas. Gods, nāgas, yakshas, gandharvas, asuras, garudas, kinnaras, mahoragas, kings, ministers, brahmins, and householders completely surrounded them, teaching the Dharma, and appearing everywhere together with the Blessed One, the Tathagata Shakyamuni. Then, those sons of the gods and the assembly endowed with all were amazed and offered praise, saying "Excellent, excellent" to the Blessed One, the Tathagata Shakyamuni. Then, all those assemblies offered flowers, incense, perfumes, garlands, unguents, ornaments, decorations, and the sounds of celestial music, all arising from the merit of their own roots of virtue, to those Tathagatas.
