The tormas are also arranged well. Various offerings, such as incense, flowers, and lamps, are arranged abundantly. After generating the vase deity, making offerings, praises, recitations, etc., one takes self-entry. The disciples are purified with the five limbs using the water from the action vase. Holding a good mandala in the left hand, one prays thus: Namo, I prostrate, offer, and take refuge. O Tathagata Victor, Destroyer, Great Vajra Body, Great Hero, Possessing Great Power, protect us from the fears of samsara, place us in the field of supreme liberation, and ripen us in the true supreme state. The master says: Listen, sons of noble family gathered here, if you have the desire to be liberated from the fear of suffering samsara, and have a mind of renunciation, then in the mandala of the unsurpassed teacher, the Bhagavan, the Eight Sugatas, I will take you all as disciples. Take the eight-limbed vows. He gives the sojong to the monastics and the upasatha to the laypeople. Then, for the actual meaning of the empowerment, with fervent devotion, join your palms and speak this prayer: Namo, great Vajradhara master, Sugata Bhagavan, grant the ripening liberation of body, speech, and mind, and bestow the empowerment of blessing and wisdom. Thus pray. Giving refuge and bodhicitta, etc., is as follows: Namo, guru, Buddha, Sugata, Bhagavan, the seven medicine king brothers, the assembly of Bodhisattvas, to all the refuge places without exception, from now until the essence of enlightenment, I take refuge with reverence, without separation. Repeat three times. Namo, all sentient beings, parents equal to space, the six realms, from the great city of suffering samsara, in order to liberate them and establish them in supreme enlightenment, I offer to the noble ones and urge them to rejoice in the aspirations. May I attain the supreme and unsurpassed enlightenment. Namo, I respectfully prostrate to all the victors, and offer with offerings gathered from reality and created by the mind. I confess all non-virtuous deeds, sins, obscurations, faults, and transgressions. I urge you to turn the sacred wheel of Dharma. Please do not pass into nirvana, but remain as the protector of beings. I rejoice in the accumulation of merit in the three times. May all beings of the six realms fully realize Buddhahood. Repeat three times. Now, while you are in a good posture, generate this intention as follows.

On the crown of my head, in the center, above a lotus and moon seat, is the seed syllable ཧཱུྃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Devanagari: हुं, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hum) in yellow. Around it, clockwise from the front, on lotus and moon seats, are the syllable ཧཱུྃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Devanagari: हुं, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hum) in blue, three yellow syllables, a reddish-blue syllable, a white syllable, and a red syllable, marked with the vowels and consonants (Ali Kali), from which rays of light emanate, purifying the obscurations of all sentient beings. Offering to all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, gathering blessings. Dissolving into the seed syllable, completely transformed. From that, arises the Bhagavan Tathagata Arhat Samyaksambuddha. In the center is Shakyamuni Buddha, yellow, with the earth-touching mudra and in meditative equipoise. Around him are the Medicine Buddha, blue, with two hands in the supreme giving mudra and meditative equipoise, holding an arura and a victory banner; Supremely Named, widely renowned, yellow, in the refuge-granting mudra and meditative equipoise; Wise Glorious King of Sound, yellow, in the supreme giving mudra and meditative equipoise; Golden Excellent Stainless Jewel Light, yellow, in the refuge-granting mudra and meditative equipoise; Sorrowless Supreme Glory, reddish-blue, in meditative equipoise and samadhi; Dharma Fame Ocean of Melody, white, teaching the Dharma; Dharma Intellect Manifest Knowledge, red, making the supreme giving mudra. All of these have one face, filled with a smiling countenance, blazing with their own light, seated in the vajra posture. Their heads have ushnishas, their feet have wheels, adorned with the major and minor marks, and covered with saffron-colored robes, clearly manifest. On the crown of each of these is a white wheel marked with the syllable ཨོཾ (Tibetan: ཨོཾ, Devanagari: ओं, Romanized Sanskrit: oṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Om). At their throats are red lotuses marked with the syllable ཨཱཿ (Tibetan: ཨཱཿ, Devanagari: आः, Romanized Sanskrit: āḥ, Literal Chinese meaning: Ah). At their hearts are vajras marked with the syllable ཧཱུྃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Devanagari: हुं, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hum) of their own color, from which emanate inconceivable rays of light, like their own color. From the Akanishta Dharmadhatu palace and their respective pure lands, the Wisdom Being bodies, similar to those visualized, are clear and distinct in form. Their speech consists of the vowels and consonants (Ali Kali), with their own natural sounds. Their minds are vajras, the same color, filled with light and radiance, many like rain falling on a great ocean, dissolving into the crown of the head of the deity, with one-pointed devotion. Having said this, invite them: ཧཱུྃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Devanagari: हुं, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hum)! Supreme Noble Ones, Victorious Ones, Tathagatas, Although you have already attained perfect enlightenment in countless eons past, With compassion, you do not abandon the foolish me, Helpless and without protectors, drowning in the ocean of suffering. Alas, alas, I cry out with a wretched voice, With loving compassion, consider me and come to this place.
