It is impossible to express. Mañjuśrī, therefore, sons or daughters of good families, kings or ministers, or householders who seek virtue, should hold the name of the Tathāgata in order to be free from anger and all afflictions. It should be recited, and the Tathāgata should be worshiped with great reverence, so that all his sins, all karmic obscurations, and all diseases will be completely pacified, all wishes will be fulfilled, and he will never turn back from the Bodhi of the Buddha. Mañjuśrī, to the east, beyond Buddha-fields as numerous as the sands of seven Ganges rivers from this Buddha-field, there is a world called Endowed with Jewels, where dwells a Tathāgata, Arhat, Perfectly Awakened Buddha named Jewel, Moon, Lotus Adorned, Wise, Glorious, Sound King. He lives, accepts offerings, also teaches the Dharma, and only teaches the Great Vehicle to the Bodhisattvas. Mañjuśrī, that Tathāgata, Arhat, Perfectly Awakened Buddha, in the past when practicing the conduct of a Bodhisattva, made eight great vows. What are the eight? His first great vow is: When I attain unexcelled, perfect, complete enlightenment in the future, may those sentient beings who are fond of the boundaries of fields and trade, and have many distractions, thereby completely losing the virtuous Dharma, and completely losing the recollection of the Bodhi-mind, be completely liberated from the sufferings of Samsara. May those who individually experience the sufferings of Samsara, experience aging, death, sorrow, lamentation, suffering, displeasure, and strife, by my power, remember my name in their hearts, and utter my name with their mouths, until they attain unexcelled, perfect, complete enlightenment, immediately obtain food, drink, enjoyment, use, wealth, grain, property, and gold. May they increase in virtue.

May you also fully increase! May the mind of enlightenment never be separated from your mind! May you be completely liberated from the suffering of the three lower realms and sentient beings in hell! The second great aspiration of that Bhagavan is: When I attain the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment in the future, in the realm of the three thousand great thousand worlds, any sentient beings born from eggs, wombs, moisture, or spontaneously, who are tormented by cold, heat, hunger, and thirst, and who are afflicted by painful feelings, may they, through my power, hear my name, and by remembering and reciting my name, may they completely purify their past karmic obscurations! May that birth be the last! May they be completely liberated from all the sufferings of birth until they attain the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment! May they experience the bliss of the gods in the heavenly realm! Thus he prayed. His third great aspiration is: When I attain the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment in the future, in this realm of the three thousand great thousand worlds, any women who are completely filled with various afflictions, who completely curse the place of women's birth, and those who experience painful feelings at the time of childbirth, may they, through my power, hear my name, and by remembering and reciting my name, may all feelings and sufferings be cut off! May that birth be the last! May they obtain birth until the ultimate end of enlightenment! Thus he prayed. His fourth great aspiration is: When I attain the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment in the future, any sentient beings who are tormented by death, enemies, and loneliness, and who experience sorrow because of fathers, mothers, sisters, friends, and relatives, and whose bodies are pierced by the thorns of pain and sorrow, may they, through my power, hear my name.

土地树木，愿我的名号传到它们耳中，并被诵念，直至证得究竟菩提，所有死亡、敌人和寺庙的损害都完全平息，愿它们远离悲伤和痛苦。如是祈愿。他的第五大愿是：当我在未来证得无上圆满正等觉时，那些在夜晚黑暗中游荡，从事各种恶业，被各种罪恶的魔障所困扰，因恐惧而发出各种哀嚎的众生，愿他们凭借我的力量，心中忆念我的名号，口中念诵我的名号，直至证得究竟菩提，所有黑暗都消失，从所有罪恶的魔障中解脱，并精进于一切供养和侍奉之事。如是祈愿。他的第六大愿是：当我在未来证得无上圆满正等觉时，那些喜好下劣，智慧浅薄，记忆迟钝，完全丧失对善法、力量、菩提支、禅定、陀罗尼门、佛、法、僧的忆念的众生，愿他们凭借我的力量，心中忆念我的名号，口中念诵我的名号，直至证得究竟菩提，禅定、忆念、力量、菩提支、陀罗尼门都显现，大智慧随之增长。如是祈愿。他的第七大愿是：当我在未来证得无上圆满正等觉时，那些喜好下劣，对声闻乘和独觉乘生起希求，安住于此，背离无上圆满正等觉的众生，愿他们凭借我的力量，心中忆念我的名号，口中念诵我的名号，从而

Earth and trees, may my name be heard in their ears and recited, so that until the attainment of ultimate enlightenment, all harm from death, enemies, and monasteries may be completely pacified, and may they be free from sorrow and suffering.
