Likewise, in the primordial Dharmadhatu, the mistaken liberation abides in the Dharmata realm. Now, at the end of this Kalpa, they call themselves yogis and practice secret mantras. There is no distinction between higher and lower vehicles, no order of beings' faculties, no difference in the magnitude of past deeds, no distinction between those who are fortunate and those who are not. They carry small offerings and Tsokhor, students ask for experiential instructions, and lamas preach secret mantras. In a week-long practice, even if divided into sessions, they engage in hidden and overt actions. They label the fleeing and chasing of thoughts, the staying and moving, as Dharmata and impose recognition. They call their practice Mahamudra, claiming that achievements are impossible outside this tradition, and that other religions are mistaken. They are extremely afraid of and run far away from the view, meditation, study, and contemplation of the Mahayana. Those who hold the lineage of "Tena Marmi" are miserable, bound by the eight worldly concerns. They do not seek learned and accomplished ones, but call themselves spontaneously accomplished. They protect personal relationships and increase attachment and aversion. They adorn themselves with silk brocade and luxurious clothes, their pride rises like a storm. They are jealous of other traditions and compete to be the most knowledgeable. They compete for high positions on cushions and thrones. They talk about Nirvana but actually create karma. They say things are unnecessary but accumulate wealth and possessions. They say they are good but deceive others. They say they are detached but are bound by attachment. They say they are renunciates but have many affairs. They say they are without clinging but build monasteries. Most of the practitioners of this time are like water-soaked wood, without essence. It is crucial to realize the view of Dharmata. Meditators without view are like shooting arrows in the dark. Even if one has realized the correct view, if one does not bring it to fruition through meditation, it is like returning empty-handed from a treasure island. What is your experience of view and meditation like? Your Mahamudra is not a Dharma of liking to stay and disliking to move. Hand is the wisdom of emptiness, Mudra is liberation from the bondage of Samsara, and Maha is said to be the union of the two. Friend, have you seen the essence? Son of lineage, has certainty arisen? Thus he spoke. Oh, then tell me the three essentials of view and meditation. I am a mute Khampa, how would I know? You are from U-Tsang, the source of Dharma, and you have the ability to speak. However, if I must speak, please listen to me for a moment. Although there are many diverse phenomena, the path to enter is Sutra and Tantra.

Two grounds. It is said in terms of two, high and low faculties. Internally, it is divided into nine vehicles. A newborn baby lives on milk. Meat, butter, and dregs are poison for it. An adult lives on coarse food. If nourished with milk, it will starve to death. For the three inferior ones, the teachings are the three pitakas: Vinaya, Sutra, and Abhidharma. For the three middling ones, the teachings are the three yogas: Kriya Yoga, Yoga, and Upa Yoga. For the three great ones, the teachings are the three yogas: Maha Yoga, Anu Yoga, and Ati Yoga. Son, our Dharma has many categories. Among them, human bodies are many. Among them, karmic results are many. According to the extent of one's own faculties, in accordance with the gateway of intelligence, if practiced according to Dharma, it is very profound. A fortunate one of great intelligence and lineage, if practicing the Dharma of the inferior vehicle, is like an adult drinking milk. A Hearer, Solitary Realizer, or a person of the inferior vehicle, if entering the Dharma of the Great Vehicle, is like a child eating butter and tsampa. Now, from the four directions of east, south, west, and north, to Lhasa, the central region of Tibet, the travelers who wish to go, come from all directions and gather in Lhasa. Although the paths of coming are not the same, the place of arrival is not different. Some cannot go and remain in their own country. Some arrive in the morning and evening. Some arrive day by day. Some take years and months. The distance of the journey depends mainly on the homeland. The smoothness and roughness of the road, the difference between south and north. The goodness and badness of methods and conditions depend on one's own strength. This analogy is no different from the Dharma. The lower vehicle has a long journey. The higher vehicle has a short journey. Especially the Unsurpassed Secret is very close. No matter which Dharma gate one enters, like a traveler's body being tired on the road, if not carried away by wrong paths and obstacles, then obtaining Buddhahood is the same for all. Only the difficulty and ease of the journey are very different. Due to the goodness and badness of previous practice and journey, there are many levels of beings' faculties. Therefore, the Teacher with great compassion taught various vehicles. Son, having encountered this precious leisure and opportunity, when meeting the Buddha's teachings, for the Unsurpassed Secret Vehicle, the gateway of the three doors (body, speech, and mind) naturally falls here. Having faith and diligence is very important. Now, the most excellent essence of all Dharmas, the ultimate and unsurpassed intention, the way of realization of me, a renunciant, like pointing to the moon with a finger, if I speak only a little, it is realized like this. The natural state of reality is not born from causes, nor from conditions. It is neither existent nor non-existent.
