The six-syllable mantra of the lotus has no smell. When I said I needed a teaching that would benefit my lineage, he said: In general, the so-called natural state of Dharma, Is the teacher of all joys and sorrows. It dwells in the sheath of ignorance. If you are freed from that sheath, will you be happy? Always thinking of the self that is without self. Bound by the clinging to self. If you are freed from that bondage, will you be happy? Distinguishing between the appearances of self and others. All appearances and consciousness are used for the self. This one, bound by the strong iron chains of Competition, oppression, and hatred, Is an illusion of something that does not exist. If you open it with a method, will you be happy? The five poisons that arise from those three actions. And the habitual patterns that have accompanied them since beginningless time, The countless illusions of the six realms of samsara. Accomplishing one's own desires through actions that seek happiness. Suffering through engaging in non-virtue. Creating conditions through unbearable feelings. Actions that depend on that karma. Cause and effect that depend on actions. Experiences that depend on cause and effect. Feelings that depend on experiences. Perceptions that depend on feelings. Volitions that depend on perceptions. The ripening result of the karma of volition. The abyss of suffering that depends on dependent origination. Samsara is like the turning of a waterwheel. Wanting happiness but creating suffering. Like the sharp teeth of a makara fish. There is no happiness except for suffering. The method to be freed from that and to attain happiness. In this world, our teacher, Spoke of eighty-four thousand doors of Dharma. The three poisons and five poisons of affliction. Other than the antidotes to subdue these, There is no teaching that can be subdued. Now in this degenerate age of five hundred, When food and clothing are brought by the sun, For those practitioners who have experience of Dharma, When encountering the conditions of the three poisons. The ordinary beings of the six realms, Change color in the name of Dharma. Those who wear the robes of the teachings, Are they not teachings that cling to appearances? All the aspects of Dharma are completely contained within, Contained within Sutra and Tantra, Tantrikas wearing monastic robes, but propagating the suffering of samsara. Non-virtuous actions, abandoning view and meditation. Monks drinking alcohol and eating meat, robbing and beating. Appearing to be practitioners, but secretly keeping women. In this age of five hundred conflicts, this declining degenerate age, When Dharma and conduct become contradictory.

Alas! Rare indeed are those who can transform the five poisons into the path. However, if a yogi intends to practice according to the Dharma, then they must understand the six perfections, five paths, and ten bhumis, this is the supreme path of enlightenment according to the Sutra school. Combining and liberating within the two stages of generation and completion, this close path is profound, and its fruit is the two supreme kayas. The Unsurpassed Yoga is also known as the Extremely Secret. You should practice according to what can liberate your own mindstream, as much as you are able. The three poisons and all obscurations, along with their causes, will be purified; this is without doubt. Abandoning afflictions with antidotes is called Sutra. Believing in that, one enters the vehicle of Sutra. The essence of the path, the nature of emptiness and purity, is called Mantra. Believing in that, one practices the vehicle of Mantra. The maker of all these is the mind, but temporary belief is the maker of karma. The teacher turns the wheel of Dharma according to karma and causes, preaching various vehicles to realize the nature of mind. The natural abiding of the self-mind, the reality of things, if it can be established, then one true Dharma is sufficient. The mistakes on the path and obscurations are very important. The teachings are Sutra, Tantra, oral instructions, Mahamudra, and Dzogchen. Therefore, the ear for hearing should be wide, the wisdom of thought sharp like a sword, and the samadhi of meditation as important as facing death. Acting according to one's own desires deviates from the Dharma, wishing to attain Buddhahood is in vain. Practicing the unconditioned Dharma within the conditioned Dharma, wherever one strays in the high or low realms of samsara, becomes an obstacle on the path to enlightenment. Skillful means and wisdom, adopting and abandoning the methods of Sutra and Tantra, gaining a firm foothold in this life is the oral instruction. Burning like poisonous water and fire, boiling like water, relying on the antidote, meditating on no-self, or directly looking at the clear light of emptiness. Two kinds of oral instructions, practice according to what is comfortable for your own mindstream. But in essence, it is crucial to abandon clinging to good and bad. Whether bound by a golden chain or a rope, if it harms the walking foot, there is no good or bad. Likewise, no matter what binds you, good or bad, if it deviates from the path to enlightenment, it is the cause of suffering. Therefore, liberate yourself from ego, sectarianism, and attachment. Praying to the source of blessings is the valid measure. Strive with unwavering devotion, the wisdom of the four kayas and the four empowerments will manifest. The ultimate goal of enlightenment is the supreme aspiration. Make aspirations without dualistic doubt, when the causes and conditions
