Precious Supreme Umbrella, Auspicious Golden Fish, Desire-Fulfilling Vase, Delightful Kamala, Fame Conch, Abundant Glorious Knot, Indestructible Victory Banner, Empowering Wheel, Holding the emblems of the Eight Precious Supreme Signs, Offering to the Buddhas of all directions and times, delighting them, By remembering the essence of charm, increasing glory, I prostrate to the Eight Auspicious Goddesses. 如果听到众会安住之处的名号，就能免除人与非人的恐惧和侵害，任何人都无法反驳其言论，也无法压制，执持名号者即使在睡梦中也不会做恶梦，战场上身体不会被兵器所伤，并能从中安乐解脱，请您开示。于是世尊开示了东方世界名为“名闻”等处安住的八尊佛的名号。如果想分别念诵，应当知晓“顶礼、供养、皈依薄伽梵如来应供正等觉灯王佛”等。这里只是组成了偈颂的差别而已。经中说，如果能很好地受持并完全理解这些佛的名号，就能具有不可思议的功德。这些佛的刹土远离五浊，因为这些佛具有往昔的愿力。傍晚睡觉和早上起床时也应当忆念。无论开始做任何世间的事情，都应当先忆念这些名号，然后再开始做，要知道那样也会增益，不会减少。念诵这八吉祥的法类，诸天就能战胜阿修罗的战争，因为念诵这些名号，就是完全宣说安乐无惧，以及一切奋起的名号。同样，因为是完全宣说超越战争、不可压制、寂静、完全无恼、无惧之名，所以能获胜。如是说。总的来说，于不可思议劫中，对众多独觉佛布施住所和一切用具，以及如同天食般的饮食，经中说仅仅听到“佛”这个声音，功德就很大。更何况恭敬地称念名号、顶礼、塑造佛像、供养等等呢？仅仅听到佛的名号，就能获得无量功德，这在经典中多有记载。我所书写的佛名十万中，也已尽力书写。文殊等大菩萨近

If one hears the names of the assemblies where they reside, one will be free from the fear and harm of humans and non-humans, no one will be able to refute their words, nor will they be suppressed. Even when the name-holder falls asleep, they will not have nightmares, their body will not be harmed by weapons in battle, and they will be liberated from it in peace. Please reveal this. Then the Blessed One bestowed the names of the eight Buddhas residing in the eastern world called "Renowned," and so forth. If one wishes to recite them separately, one should know, "I prostrate to, make offerings to, and take refuge in the Bhagavan Tathagata Arhat Samyaksambuddha Lamp King Buddha," and so on. Here, it is only the difference of being composed into verses. The sutra says that if one holds well and fully understands the names of these Buddhas, one will possess inconceivable merits. The realms of these Buddhas are free from the five degenerations because these Buddhas possess the aspirations of the past. One should also remember them when going to bed in the evening and when getting up in the morning. Whenever one begins to do any worldly activity, one should first remember these names and then begin to do it, knowing that it will increase and not decrease. By reciting this category of the eight auspicious ones, the gods will be victorious in the war against the Asuras, because reciting these names is to fully proclaim happiness and fearlessness, as well as the names of all arising. Similarly, because it is to fully proclaim the names of transcendence over war, invincibility, peace, complete freedom from affliction, and fearlessness, one can be victorious. Thus it is said. In general, in countless eons, giving residences and all necessities, as well as food like heavenly food, to many Pratyekabuddhas, the sutras say that merely hearing the sound of "Buddha" has great merit. How much more so to respectfully recite the names, prostrate, create Buddha images, make offerings, and so on? Merely hearing the name of the Buddha brings immeasurable benefits, which are often recorded in the scriptures. In the hundred thousand Buddha names that I have written, I have also written as much as possible. Manjushri and other great Bodhisattvas are near.
