Name. Considering it as a offering tree that guides all beings by name, The clear prayers of words, I prostrate with reverence. With a sincere heart, I believe in the existing wealth, Even though I offer as much as I can by exerting effort, This deceptive trick of being seemingly virtuous is disgusting. When looking outward, it is the nature of change and impermanence, When looking inward at one's own mind, it is a whirlpool of attachment and aversion. Like a boat on an island in the sea, no matter how I think about it, There is only sadness, O knowledgeable friend. At the inevitable time of death, the sacred Dharma that one can rely on, Having nothing, nowhere to go, a madman with a lost mind. Living freely and unrestrainedly as one pleases, Alas, who has deceived us, the heartless ones? Outwardly consistent and inwardly consistent, this is the same, outwardly the same, A pure and immaculate self-mind without flaws to hide from others. If one could obtain a clear light like a flawless crystal, That would be happiness itself, the waves of grasping and clinging. At this time of great turbulence, the instructions of the great Guru, Not having taken them to heart, the actions of our three doors are like this. No matter what we do, it only leads to sadness, The Three Roots, the Victorious Ones, know, please look upon us with compassion. This was written by Mipham in the Iron Dragon year, feeling somewhat sad about the appearances. The Song of Joy. The essence of the intention of all Buddhas, the three lineages of reality, The profound essence of the three inner tantras, the heart of the teachings, The supreme assembly that perfectly and flawlessly upholds them, The source of benefit and happiness, the king of wish-fulfilling power. Having placed it on the crown of my head, to myself and others like me who are fortunate, At the time when good wishes ripen, in the assembly of the wise, The nature of truthful words without self-importance or attachment. Singing the song of experience and joy, O knowledgeable friend. In this present time when the five degenerations are rampant, No matter how hard one tries, with effortful vehicles, It is extremely difficult to tame, but the practice without effort, Releases the knots of the eighty-four thousand collections of Dharma. Opening the door to the inexhaustible treasure of Dharma in the heart center, Possessing this supreme path, like fire in a forest, Able to transform various adverse conditions of the degenerate age into the path. Those fortunate yogis are truly joyful.

Supreme One! Relying on the ancestral heritage of Vidyadharas, Cutting through the precipice of the three realms' Samsara with skillful wisdom, Which is difficult to accomplish even with eons of effort by others, In an instant, arriving at the joyful garden of accomplished Vidyadhara heroes. Like a Garuda soaring in the sky, one after another arriving, Contemplating the ranks of lineage-holding Lamas, Even I, a humble monk at the end of the line, from a joyful state, A desire arises to sing a small song of happiness. To the mind of grasping and fixation, the turmoil of dualistic thoughts, Having lost its inherent nature of doing whatever it pleases, People who are widely learned, eloquent, and thoughtful, Even if many gather, like blind people groping for the sun and moon, They do not know even a direction, merely proclaiming their own lamentations. But the instructions of the lineage-holding Lamas are engraved deep in my heart, Having slightly tasted the nectar of wisdom beyond thought, Even in an unfamiliar place, the body feels happy and at ease. The Lama who is the embodiment of the assembly of the three families of conquerors, Just remembering his name, blessings surge like rain clouds. The Vidyadhara teacher of unparalleled kindness in Tibet, The lotus feet of Padmasambhava, the wish-fulfilling jewel, Having obtained the good fortune to meditate on him at the crown of my head, Thinking of some faithless ones who have lost their divine share, Finding faith in the place of faith, obtaining this treasure, I am deeply convinced of this, therefore I am very happy. The pith instructions of the Early Translation Secret Mantra, the excellent essence of nectar, Even if they enter the ear, If they do not penetrate into the heart, Turning away from the profound place, losing the share of Vidyadharas, Many such beings are worthy of compassion. But the Lama, deity, mandala, and Samaya friends, In the realm of pure self-appearance, an inseparable gathering, Thinking of the feast accompanying the Ngayab Palri (Copper-Colored Mountain), There is no freedom not to dance the joyful dance. Maha Guru (Sanskrit: Mahaguru, Great Teacher), the essence of Lodrö Choksé (Supreme Desire), Abides in the nature of the all-pervading Manjushri Vajra. Even if I make a few supplications with faithful devotion, It opens the doors to the eight great treasures of confidence, For those who are fortunate, it is as easy as blinking an eye. But because we have fallen into the degeneration of the evil times, It is difficult to realize the profound meaning of freedom, But may there still be a few with faith.
