Ga Shi nyam pa nyi. Because reality and unreality are equal. Although it appears as reality, it is not impermanent. Even though it is unreal, it is not without action. Likewise, it does not abide in existence or peace. If even peace is completely pure, what need is there to mention the purification of cyclic existence? Therefore, who would be disgusted by that which is utterly pure? If it is not even unreal, how could it become real? Therefore, who could cut into parts that which does not fall into any extreme? Reality and unreality are compounded. The realm of Dharma is uncompounded. Permanence and impermanence are changing. The realm of Dharma is unchanging. In appearance, both extremes are possible. In reality, where is it established? It is the indivisible great perfection. Jampal Dorje showed it to us. May virtue and auspiciousness be completely victorious. Alas, assembly of the three roots and victorious ones! Look with wisdom and compassion upon the beings of the degenerate age! When I think about the various behaviors of myself and others, I cannot help but utter laments of sorrow. We waste the precious human body that is difficult to obtain, and we forget the mindfulness of inevitable death. Without thinking carefully about cause and effect, we become monks with bad karma. If there are any like me, please look upon them with compassion. We cannot bear even a tiny spark of fire, yet who can bear to lie on a burning iron ground with our precious bodies? If we die even tomorrow, we will not be able to avoid the suffering of the lower realms. Lama, Lord, know this! Due to the power of beginningless habit, we are attached to fabricated views like pigs to filth. Although we say "unattached and free from extremes," it is difficult to find a view that hits the point of reality from a state beyond the mind. In the meditation of laziness, sitting comfortably with a full stomach, we may show a semblance of realization, but when bad circumstances befall us, we become even worse than others. What good is this ineffective meditation? We have taken refuge in the Three Jewels, made vows, commitments, and precepts. Look at our shameless minds, almost exchanging them for a cup of chang and the pleasure of a moment's intercourse. And yet, we still desire to strive for the rank of the holy. All appearances of cyclic existence are of a moving nature. Especially, there is no reliance on life, which is like lightning. However, we are only slightly annoyed.

Since it is absent in my own being, this preparation for many future actions is astonishing. Claiming all beings as parents, possessing the vows of a Bodhisattva, taking on harm to oneself and engaging in actions for the benefit of others. When putting it into practice, even if a contradictory self-sign appears, it is amazing to act as if nothing happened without any sense of shame. Although one needs to see the pure and vast mandala of the Buddhas through the paths of contrived and uncontrived, it is difficult even to generate a mere conviction that it is so. If such a one is a mantra practitioner, then who is it that is not? Being skilled in the essential points of samadhi, substances, mantras, and rituals, and possessing the limbs of faith, diligence, contemplation, and stability, enjoying the attainment of accomplishing the deity and mantra as inseparable, how is it that they are as rare as stars in the daytime? By touching the crucial point of the profound instructions on the means of liberation, with the arising of non-dual wisdom, the conceptualizations of dualistic appearance, the waves of attachment and aversion, need to subside on their own, but where are those who subside? When happy, in the midst of diminishing merit, one does not even remember the Dharma of death. When suffering, one does not think of it as karma, engaging in non-Dharma. Always taking and abandoning happiness and suffering, the state of one's own mind, like the patterns of sandalwood, does not seem to have an end. When one gains, one accumulates the nine riches more and more, and when one does not gain, one strives with body, speech, and mind exhausted. Under the guise of benefiting others, one accumulates offerings of faith, accumulating and accumulating them, placing them as a reliance at the time of death. When praised, the great fire of self-conceit blazes, and when criticized, one is tormented by displeasure, sadness, grief, and angry words. No matter what one does, there is no peace, the waves of conceptual thought, there is no time when one touches the state of ordinary relaxation. Because the grasping and apprehended, habitual from beginningless time, appear so strongly, it is also difficult to become skilled in the mind of illusion without attachment. No matter what one does, no matter how one strives, it seems good, good, excellent, excellent, but there is no prospect of becoming completely free from the eight worldly concerns. Outwardly pretending, keeping the body composed and abiding in peace and gentleness, but like water leaking from a cupped hand, is the ego of conceptual thought. Led by improper attention, one wanders uncontrollably. What is this vast ocean of ordinary, distracted conceptual thoughts like? The mindstream is more rigid than before, and the stake of clinging has become even tighter, the tattered bag of the five poisons, wrapped in fine clothes, is a beautiful song.
