Na, the fool is confused! The mind is impermanent like lightning, do not cling to gathering. Recognizing one's own nature is like the clear sky. From within the sky, the uninterrupted sound of mantra continuously arises, focus and recite. If obstacles arise, they should be cut off according to the Dharma. If fear arises, hold the fearless courage. Whatever it is, let it be. Without hope and worry, maintain whatever arises naturally. Written on the auspicious day of the 6th of the first month of the Iron Pig year, the meaning is great, only for personal use. The meaning of the demon cave lies in pursuing conceptual thoughts. The cave of conceptual thoughts lies in pursuing this own mind. Pursuing the cave of one's own mind lies in pursuing the primordial Dharmakaya. Within the Dharmakaya, cutting demons is cutting off. If one does not recognize the magical manifestations of one's own conceptual thoughts, then whatever appears is seen as a demon, using "Phat (Tibetan: ཕཊ།)" to drive away demons, striking demons with hands, and generating the clinging to demons in everything. Such cutting is not true cutting, but being carried away by demons. In the true meaning, there are no gods and demons, but to those with conceptual thoughts, gods and demons appear. Placing conceptual and non-conceptual thoughts in the heart, taming those with conceptual thoughts is the Dharma of Ama. The meaning of no self, no owner, no gods, no demons, after knowing this meaning, others do not understand this meaning. By offering one's own body and satisfying with objects, merging into the meaning of non-duality, this Chöd is excellent. If not cutting with the mind of emptiness and compassion, how to cut with the mind of clinging to reality and wrath? If conceptual thoughts are not tamed, and cutting what others cut, then it greatly contradicts the principle of true Chöd. With the self-power of emptiness and compassion, various fierce methods of taming arise, skillful means, which is called Chöd and Taming, is common with fierce activities. If the key point is not known, then Chöd becomes wrong cutting, and liberation becomes wrong liberation. Thus also spoke Mipham Rinpoche. A treatise called "The Vajra Mirror of Self-Awareness Cutting Doubts" is present. Namo Manjushriye! Those who have little learning and no experience, this Dharma called Great Perfection Self-Awareness, from the Samadhi wisdom of Madhyamaka, hold it to be a lower realm. Kaye! You who boast of Madhyamaka, when you are in Samadhi of the Dharmadhatu, is the flow of consciousness cut off or not cut off? If you think it is cut off, then it is a meditation without awareness. As the latter says, do you experience Dharmata with consciousness or not? If not, how do you realize Dharmata? If yes, such Dharmata, is the nature of all Dharmas, therefore, for the object-possessor, all Dharmas,

Do appearances exist or not? If they exist, how does the dualistic appearance subside? If they do not exist, then what kind of thing does the statement "experienced by the mind, separate from objects" point to? If it is said to be the self-aware wisdom that is separate from objects and subjects, then why give the name "self-awareness" to these? Therefore, this concept of "self-awareness" is what the Mind-Only school understands as the clarity of awareness, and the emptiness of a partial consciousness that does not understand the non-existence of external objects, an empty talk without experiencing reality. The meaning of the inconceivable Dharmadhatu, experienced by each individual themselves, is like equanimity, like the sky, how could it be a partial Dharma nature? The Mind-Only school believes that nominal consciousness is truly established. Here, self-awareness is great emptiness, established by direct experience, which destroys the object of attachment to characteristics. Who touches the realm of union? That person will see all phenomena as it (the realm of union). If each phenomenon has its own Dharma nature, then there is no limit. Therefore, by the way of experience, by meditating in equanimity on the realm of union, the result that cannot be achieved by conceptual schools for countless eons, manifests here. This was written spontaneously by Mipham Namgyal (Mipam Jampel Gyamtso) during a meditation break at the Gakarmo Taktsang mountain retreat. Om Swasti (Tibetan, Devanagari: ओṃ स्वस्ति, Romanized Sanskrit: oṃ svasti, Literal Chinese meaning: Om, auspicious!). Although purity and impurity are distinguished, purity alone cannot be established. Both purity and impurity are temporary, but Dharma nature abides in the great self-nature purity. That is great purity, it constantly abides in it. Similarly, with permanence and impermanence, conditioned and unconditioned, conventional and ultimate, phenomena and Dharma nature, for these dichotomies, the latter is equal in strength to the former, in appearance, the former is strong, in the way of abiding, the latter is strong, in the ultimate meaning, both are false. The realm in which both are equally pure is not established separately. It is great permanence, great unconditionedness, great ultimate truth, great Dharma nature. What is praised by the word "great" is the base realm, that is, a single bindu. Its self-nature is beyond mind, subsequent wisdom establishes concepts such as permanence. It is very important to distinguish this point. Because this is equality, all three times are in it. Existence and non-existence are in it. There is no Dharma that does not belong to it, therefore no matter what kind of appearance is measured, it will not become other.
