English

R. As it says, "Non-existent similar to it, other than it and smaller than it, unpraised and contradictory, the six meanings of nañ are very famous." Like that. Abrāhmaṇa (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, literal Chinese meaning): Like a Brahmin, meaning not a real Brahmin. Aluk (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, literal Chinese meaning): Non-existent, meaning there is nothing to be destroyed. Asaṃyogāt (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, literal Chinese meaning): Meaning other than correct combination. Alāvaṇa (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, literal Chinese meaning): Meaning less heat. Aputra (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, literal Chinese meaning): Meaning a bad son or no son. Aśukla (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, literal Chinese meaning): Non-white, meaning black, which is the opposite of white. Generally, these negative particles negate whatever noun they are attached to. If attached to a noun with the meaning of existence, it becomes non-existence; if attached to a noun with the meaning of being, it becomes not being, etc. Whatever it is attached to, it negates from the opposite side of that word. However, attaching a negative particle to something that is being belittled is like not having a bad son, so it is attached as no son; like no heat and like a Brahmin; like no correct combination, etc. Attaching non-white to black, although it is negation itself, it is not just negation, but to establish the opposite, therefore six categories are explained. In most cases, the na of nañ is dropped, and the short a itself is often used as a negative particle, like those shown above, and asura (non-god), etc. In some cases, na is not dropped and is used as a negative particle, for example, to mean without this ability, nakhaḥ (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, literal Chinese meaning) means nail, nakula (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, literal Chinese meaning) means non-caste, i.e., mongoose, nakṣatraṃ (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, literal Chinese meaning) means immutable, i.e., star, nakra (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, literal Chinese meaning) crocodile, is the name of a crocodile, etc. In some cases, both a and na are used as negative particles. A collection with a special characteristic is called karmadhāraya, and the example of that compound word is also represented by that name. Here, there are: a prepositive word with a special characteristic, a postpositive word with a special characteristic, a prepositive word of comparison, a postpositive word of comparison, a prepositive word of existence, a prepositive word of determination, these six categories. For a word with another meaning or a collection with multiple meanings, the name itself also becomes an example of that collection. Here there are dual number words, plural number words, postpositive number words, both are number words, a prepositive word with togetherness, the nature of mutual action, and the nature of holding another direction, these seven. For a collection of two where the prepositive number word or its example and name are mixed together, there are two: a thing similar to one and a thing similar to many.
