Thus, the thirty-first, the holder abides in the chariot. Thus, in the retinue of the fifteen lords of the elements, the three realms of existence are surrounded by other assemblies of elements. These are both the self-manifestation of wisdom and the holders of the form of worldly lords, so although they are worthy of offering, by subduing with the stake, it is a skillful means of subduing other elements. There are three ways to establish the face of Bhairava: one is the small treatise of Lalita, or said to be composed by a teacher named Abo, followed by Tsongkhapa; the second is the practice method of the forty-nine deities of Lalita; the third is the wheel face accepted by the Sakya and Kyo lineages; Ra Lotsawa's accepted method is the stacked face. In its practice method, as it is said that on the right side of Ra, blue is on top of red, and yellow is on top of that, and so on. Thus, it is accepted that the tip of the horn reaches just above the top of the three stacked faces. If making a wheel face, then on the right side of the root face, the three faces from front to back are blue, red, and yellow, and from the left side forward are white, gray, and black. For the stacked face, the two faces on the left and right sides of the root face are made from the corners and above the ears on the left and right. The throats of all the faces are each their own four. The number of hands, seventeen each on the left and right, are arranged in order from front to back, with thirty-four complete from the arms to the fingertips. The hand gestures are various, such as raising upwards, holding straight up, and extending downwards. The two hands in the back hold the oxhide drum. The eight feet are arranged from front to back, each pressing down on a living being. Regarding the Torma ritual, when making sixty-four Tormas, in the center of each square mandala the length of an arrow, with double-layered lines, draw a Dharma source with the tip pointing south. On it, make ten lotus petals and arrange a bouquet of flowers. The Dharma source with the lotus is black. The three sides on the outside of it are red. The space between the two lines is black. If connecting suns on the outside of it, then on the left side of one's right mandala, and the subsequent sun, one's left mandala, on the right side arrange skull cups and other vessels, displaying fierce offerings such as blood offerings, and musical instruments such as leg flutes. On the left side of one's right mandala, make a small Torma of transcendence made from the essence of flour, of moderate size. Next to the first suns, also arrange triangular Tormas for the directional guardians and the lords of karma and death. On the day of the subsequent sun
