Upon the crown of the head resides the Immovable One. The eight right hands wield flaming hooked knives. The eight left hands hold serpent lassos. In the hair, the charnel ground fire blazes. The body relies on Mount Sumeru for support. The head reaches the peak of existence. The feet extend the serpent's tail into the ocean. The five classes of nagas adorn the body. The black Chandalas are pressed beneath the feet. The upper body is in the form of an enraged rakshasa. The three-cornered eyes glare, the fangs are bared. A terrifying sound of Akashi is proclaimed. Nagas, evil spirits, and earth lords are consumed as food. From the body, poisonous vapors and volcanic fires blaze. The light rays of mantra are the fire of wisdom. All harmful nagas, evil spirits, and earth lords are thought to be burned to ashes. Nagpo Tipa Tsaya Naga Raksha Om Phelam Hum. (Tibetan) This is the mantra to subdue the vital points of the nagas. Om Namo Buddhaya. Vajra Kili Kilaya. Naga Dutsanbe Tsanbe Mili Mili Bhanda Bhanda Nagani Svaha. (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning) By merely reciting this mantra, the life force of harmful nagas and evil spirits is burned. Do not use it lightly unless necessary. This is a very profound samaya. At the end of the session, a torma decorated with portions of fish, snakes, etc. is offered. Bless it with Akarö as the nectar of wisdom. After the accomplishment mantra Nagpo Tipa Tsaya, etc., add the torma mantra E-dam Balingta Kha Kha Khahi Khahi. (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning) and offer it. Then, again, offer with the approaching mantras Vajra Puspe, etc. Hum! It is the sound of great terror, the best of the excellent. The one who dispels all fears. To Manjushri Naga Raksha, I respectfully prostrate, offer, and praise. Please accept this offering torma, and until I attain the essence of enlightenment, all unfavorable demons and curses of nagas, evil spirits, earth lords, etc., please grant me the supreme accomplishment of victory over all opposing forces. In all lives, may I follow you, and may you grant me all common and supreme accomplishments. Thus it is said. At the end of the session, visualize the deity dissolving into the clear light sphere of non-objectification. Again, from the sphere, arise as the illusory deity body of union. Om Phelam Hum. (Tibetan) By this merit, may I quickly attain Naga Raksha, etc., and may it be concluded with dedication, aspiration, and auspicious words. This was written by Mipham Jamyang Namgyal Gyatso on the eighteenth night of the middle month of the Fire Bird year, with respectful prayer to this supreme deity, and in accordance with the intention of the Vajra Sekhara Tantra, may this cause all connected beings to be free from disease, demons, and obstacles.

May you be completely victorious over opposing forces, and may you attain the state of wrathful Manjushri in this very life! At the end of this practice, the liberation of Naga afflictions and the reversal of curses, etc., should be understood elsewhere. Mangalam! Thus concludes the profound daily practice of King Red, the Heart Drop of Yama. Ah! In a single moment, the recollection is perfected: Manjushri, the slayer of Yama, Naked, red and black, holding a hook and hammer, With black hair, half tied up, half hanging loose, Manifest in the midst of a turbulent storm of fire and wind. At your heart, on a sun disc, is HUM, encircled by a mantra garland. Light radiates, all of existence is clear as deities, power and energy are gathered. Oṃ Mañjuśrī Yamāntaka Yamarāja Hūṃ Phaṭ. If performing wrathful rites, arrange a lingam or red torma in front. From Hūṃ and E, a triangle arises, inside an inescapable pit. From Nṛ arises the oath-breaker, the sorceress, truly manifest. Summoning, binding, subduing, intoxicating, by the messengers of the wrathful assembly, The enemies and obstructors are summoned and blended indivisibly into the form. Recite the life-force summoning mantra a little. In the enemy's body, the co-emergent spirits of gods and demons, Two snakes, white and black, coil around the body, left and right. They eat heart blood, disagree, fight and struggle. At the crown of the head, a sky-iron vajra cross, Strikes like a hammer, mixing brain blood and heart blood. The two great snakes drink, becoming greatly powerful. Recite the seven mantras beginning with Oṃ Kiṃkaṃ, and clap the hands in cursing. The co-emergent nature, that snake, becomes invisible. From my and the front deity's body, a rain of various weapons, Fiercely agitates heaven and earth, falling like hail. The enemies and obstructors are turned into a red mess of flesh, blood, and bones. Recite the killing mantra three times. From A, in a large red conch shell, Is the balimta of the enemies and obstructors' flesh, blood, and bones, A treasure of great bliss, complete with all desirable qualities. May the assembly of deities and command-holders be pleased and satisfied. Recite the root mantra with sa-pa-ri-wa-ra idam balimta kha hi three or seven times. E! By Yama, the terrifying lord of action, with his retinue, Take this torma of red flesh and blood, arising from the destruction of oath-breakers, enemies, and obstructors, And accomplish the fierce activities of manifest conduct. For us yogis, with our retinue, Enemies and obstructors who act with evil thoughts and harsh actions, And oath-breakers who perform mantra curses, Eradicate them without trace into dust. All obstacles, hindrances, disharmony, and harmful forces,
