It is taught in Tantras and other texts. In other Tantras, this mantra is also said to be the mantra of the wrathful king of desire. The king of secret mantras that summons, granting all siddhis as desired, is the sacred essence of Vajrapani. This was also written by Mipham Jamyang Dorje, may it be auspicious. The self-generation practice of Chakdor (Vajrapani). First, take refuge, generate bodhicitta, and cultivate the four immeasurables. Purify into emptiness with Svabhava. From the state of emptiness, on top of a lotus and moon disc. I myself am Vajrapani, the color of the sky. The right hand holds a vajra, the left holds a bell. Adorned with silk and precious jewels, in a half-lotus posture. Residing in the midst of swirling wisdom light. Invoke the wisdom being from the dharmadhatu, merging without duality. At the heart, on a moon disc, the syllable Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ,梵文:हूँ,IAST:hūṃ,seed syllable) is surrounded by mantras. Radiating light, benefiting all beings, visualize everything as deities. Oṃ Vajrapāṇi Hūṃ (ཨོཾ་བཛྲ་པཱ་ཎི་ཧཱུྃ,梵文:ॐ वज्रपाणि हूँ,IAST:oṃ vajrapāṇi hūṃ,Om, Vajrapani, Hum). Thus, without distraction, focus. Recite as much as possible, and signs will appear. In the Wisdom Thigle Tantra, it says: The mantra of the goddess has six syllables. It accomplishes all desired purposes. It terrifies all malice. It exhausts all diseases. It bestows all siddhis. It cannot be overcome by all the wise. When recited with a wrathful gaze. In an instant, it destroys everything. When recited with a peaceful gaze. It creates an endless source of disease. Thus it is said, and also in many other Tantras. The Vajrapani mantra that is spoken is this. At the end of the session, make offerings, praises, gather and uplift. Recite the dedication and auspicious prayers. This was also written by Mipham on the fifth day of the dark month with complete auspiciousness, may it be auspicious! The Sadhana of Jampal (Manjushri) Supreme Giving Vajra: First, take refuge, generate bodhicitta, and cultivate the four immeasurables. From emptiness, on top of a mountain made of various jewels. On a white lotus and moon disc. I myself am Manjushri Supreme Giving Vajra. The color of saffron, with five tufts of hair. The hair is tied up, adorned with jewels, earrings, and lotuses. Wearing a silk skirt, silk upper garment, etc. Complete with silk and precious jewel ornaments, a beautiful smiling face. Blazing with the glory of marks and signs, a delightful youthful form. The light of all Buddhas pours onto the head. The right hand extends in the supreme giving mudra. The left hand holds a blue lotus marked with a vajra. A web of light emanates from the body.
