The divisions such as unobstructed are taught as five types. Among them, unobstructed mindfulness is where wisdom clearly distinguishes in equipoise. The Great Perfection also establishes the view through hearing and thinking. It is also knowing the general characteristic of the individually self-aware wisdom that pervades the aspect of mind-consciousness. It is said that the three types of entering wisdom seek hearing, thinking, and meditation. This relies on having the same essence as the self-arisen wisdom, and it is the wisdom of one's own place that is a part of wisdom, not gathered by the mind with conceptualization and grasping. This was said by the Omniscient Great One. Furthermore, any phenomenon that has the three characteristics of arising, ceasing, and abiding is conditioned. Anyone must establish that what does not have these three is unconditioned. If asked how to establish the presence or absence of these three, it is established by the measure of self-grasping. Without relying on the measure of conventional meaning analysis, presence or absence can never be established. Although space is perceived as unobstructed, in reality, the existence of obstruction, etc., must not be established. The establishment of this must rely solely on conventional analysis. Therefore, since space has no specific essence, it is conventionally established as having no arising or ceasing, or no destruction, and is established as permanent. Similarly, for this union of the nature of mind-consciousness, in the ultimate analytical experience, the aspect of awareness or clarity is present in the experience, yet it is not specifically designated as "this," and it is not seen as being even slightly different from emptiness. How can the three characteristics of arising, ceasing, and abiding be established for such a nature of reality? If one clings to the three characteristics of arising, ceasing, and abiding, one will become inseparable from these three. If one is inseparable, how can the nature of reality not have arising, etc.? Therefore, it is established that there is awareness that is separate from the three characteristics of arising, ceasing, and abiding. If it is said that it is not established because all aspects of awareness, clarity, and appearance are pervaded by conditioned and impermanent phenomena, and all aspects of emptiness are unconditioned and permanent, then the union of the nature of reality will never exist. Because union is not the true nature, it will become non-reality, and reality will become purely emptiness. If that is the case, then one meditates on reality, only thinking of emptiness in the mind, and liberation from elaboration will never arise, etc. Therefore, the Buddhas do not see the nature of reality and phenomena as being inseparable. Furthermore, if the nature of mind-consciousness is not wisdom, then there is the Great Perfection of subtle mind-consciousness. Since that is the case, why is there no Great Perfection of the subtle six consciousnesses?

Now, both subtle and coarse are objects of dharma, and its dharma nature is the rigpa of Dzogchen, but subtle mind is not the rigpa of Dzogchen. Why is coarse consciousness not Dzogchen? This is the question. If it arises as wisdom, then both subtle and coarse have the union of rigpa and emptiness. If it does not arise, then neither subtle nor coarse can realize that very nature. Meditating on emptiness is also the same, because both subtle and coarse can meditate. If it is said that subtle meditation is particularly superior, then ask why. If the answer is because there is no dualistic appearance and conceptual imputation, then since the subtle is also mind, it is impossible to be without grasping and being grasped. If there is no coarse conceptualization, then it is the same as not remembering logic, etc. When mind and consciousness arise as alaya-consciousness, there is grasping and being grasped, there is arising and ceasing. When it arises as wisdom, these two are not there. If it is said that they are not there, but the aspect of rigpa is impermanent, then ask what the establisher is. The answer is that it arises from the four conditions that arise from any of the six consciousnesses. If it is said that if that is not there, then its aspect of rigpa is also not there, then its aspect of emptiness is also the same, and that aspect of rigpa and the emptiness of union, that which is without rigpa is also impossible. If it exists, then it is too much to say that emptiness does not rely on rigpa and always exists. The appearance of a vase, etc., and its emptiness are the same. If it is said that it has no essence, so it is not conditioned, then the same is true for rigpa. The vase is also said to be unborn, if it is not the appearing vase that is unborn, then the vase that is not conditioned will never be unborn, because birth is not prevented. If birth is not prevented, then emptiness will not be established either. If there is truly a separate unborn, then the birth of the vase will be subject to examination. Furthermore, the clarity of the self-illuminating clarity of the six consciousnesses and the rigpa aspect of the dharma nature are not different, if they are, then it is too much, because this is not its rigpa aspect. If it is said that the object of rigpa is the object of grasping of alaya-consciousness, and the non-object is the object of grasping of wisdom, although the phenomenon is established as impermanent, the reality is beyond the extremes of permanence and impermanence. That which transcends the extremes exists, and is established as unconditioned only because it is not something that ceases. If it is not so, then emptiness is also the same. Furthermore, the appearance of the sky is impermanent, and the sky being permanent, etc., will lead to faults. Similarly, it can be said that the sky is impermanent and the nature of the sky is permanent, etc. Even if rigpa and emptiness are not observed as different, rigpa is impermanent. If emptiness is permanent, then it will change in that way. Always
