Because of the contradiction of the uninterrupted two dharmas. The consciousness of mind is not one, but becomes two different categories. If it is thought that the subtle exists but is obscured by the gross and cannot be seen, then it is not obscured, because there are two different minds, it cannot be established that one is the obscurer of the other. Therefore, such a situation is not an object of investigation by reasoning. However, in the tantras of Dzogchen, when explaining the key points of the original ground luminosity, it must be determined in this way. If one thinks according to the meaning of the scriptures that distinguish between consciousness and wisdom, alaya and dharmakaya, mind and prajna, one can generate certainty, otherwise one will not be able to fully understand even if one thinks for kalpas. If the subtle mind newly learns emptiness and is not luminosity until it is realized, then, if it is not naturally luminous from the ground state, but must be transformed into luminosity in the path state, then there must be a mind like a teacher learning emptiness and a mind like a student being taught at the same time. When throwing the subsequent inference into memory, even if there is no prior familiarity, this person with great intelligence who can know immediately, what is the reason why he cannot know emptiness at the time of the gross mind? If the gross mind has ceased, then who is this gross mind that learns the determination of the subsequent inference of emptiness? Even if there is no observer of luminosity itself, if it is thought that luminosity arises by the power of the habit of establishing the view by previous observation placed in the subtle mind, then this is the alaya, the basis for accumulating habits, and the mind that takes birth is also this subtle mind, and the nature of what the Tirthika Samkhya school accepts, who always abides inwardly, is clearly shown here. Is this not the self? Because it constantly operates without ceasing, this will become the self, because constancy will become permanence. Our luminosity is not the basis for holding habits, because it is conditioned and because it is empty of all characteristics. Therefore, why does the subtle mind not hold the habits of samsara? Because of the habits of attachment, etc., attachment, hatred, etc. can also be learned in turn, etc., should be investigated. Also, is the innate mind a mind with or without conceptualization? If it is the former, then how does that person who confuses name and meaning use its object meaning?

Is there no self-nature from it? If not, how does it directly realize the nature of reality? If there is no realization, is its object, like space, conditioned or unconditioned? If unconditioned, do space and cessation abide in suchness? If they do not abide, what else is it like? Wisdom is different from it because it is beyond mind and non-dual. Also, does it have a cause or not? If not, then it becomes causeless consciousness. If it has a cause, is its cause affliction or non-affliction? If it is, then it is the origin of suffering, and there is no point in calling it "innate mind." If not, what is its cause? If calling it "innate mind" means that it does not change from its own form to another, then learning emptiness cannot be learned. If it can be learned, then attachment and so on can also be learned. Why is it not experienced now? What valid cognition apprehends it? Without self-awareness, who apprehends other consciousness? How does one infer? Wisdom is different from it because it is the nature of reality, so although it exists, it is not known, like emptiness. The subject, the different consciousness, then becomes an object of apprehension. The alaya is not unexperienced either, because various appearances are part of it, and this is the nature of uninterrupted habit. At the end of the three appearances, if there is the consciousness of the subject, is its youthful wind samsara or primordial wind? If it is to be abandoned, does it have a point of reversal? If it reverses, then consciousness will be cut off. What is the particularly good meaning of meditating on emptiness with it? If it is because its movement is unclear, then analyze inversion and so on. These are only the seeds of the beginning, although not a complete analysis, may Manjushri know how to distinguish again. Saying that each one is mind is a fault, saying that it is wisdom is not a fault, it is necessary to explain separately. From it, the three appearances arise, and it is the basis of everything, even if this is thought of very subtly, is it actually the alaya? It is wrong to think of the alaya as the clear light innate mind, because this can be divided by various habits, then it becomes non-innate mind, because it is changing. Therefore, after the alaya ceases, the mind of the nature of reality is the innate mind. That is not the nature of reality of the nominal division between the subject and the nature of reality, because it is merely imputed by conceptual thought, and without the subject, one cannot understand the nature of reality. This must be understood as the naked realm without names and unchanging. Is the definitive negation an imputation of mind? If so, then it is also conventional.
