Remembrance! If it becomes the gateway symbolizing the ultimate reality, the emptiness of the Dharmadhatu that is beyond concepts, then it is the profound path of the two stages of mantra. If it does not become that, then even the root of existence cannot be severed, it is merely calm abiding. Therefore, whether or not one realizes this ultimate, innate state of affairs is what distinguishes whether or not it is the path to Buddhahood. Merely gathering the winds and mind, etc., is no different from that of the outsiders. Whether or not there is a path to liberation is also distinguished by this. Omniscience is permanent, and self-born omniscience, power, etc., although the words are the same, whether or not there is meaning must also be distinguished by this. Therefore, if it is said that without the emptiness taught in Madhyamaka (the Middle Way), there is no ability to cut off the root of existence on the path of Vajrayana, then such words of slandering the mantra path should not be spoken, let alone the mind. In the Vajrayana itself, in the context of the path of liberation, it is said that all phenomena are empty, as is common with the Sutras, and in the context of the mantra path, there is the definitive establishment of experiencing the thusness of all clear light as empty. What is this separate emptiness taught in Madhyamaka? Apart from the emptiness of the place of understanding taught in Madhyamaka, within that supremely superior emptiness, just as a bushel of barley cannot fit into a single load, it is impossible for the emptiness taught in Madhyamaka not to be included within it. Therefore, if it does not become the gateway symbolizing the wisdom Dharmadhatu of meaning, even if the illusory body is accomplished, even if the samadhi like the sky is accomplished, it cannot become the wisdom of the mantra path, because even outsiders have the ability to merely guide the non-conceptual Ishvara, Uma, etc., with the winds, and to accomplish a body of wind and mind that can enter cities. Therefore, even if one experiences the meaning-light from the signs of the winds entering, abiding, and dissolving in the central channel, even if one recognizes the wisdom of meaning from the introduction of Dzogchen (Great Perfection) without stopping conceptual thoughts, both are the swift paths of the mantra path, but even if a subtle experience of wind and mind arises, there are cases where it goes without being able to symbolize the innate meaning. Therefore, even if the introduction of Dzogchen is without error, if the other aspect is not grasped by the instructions, then misinterpretation is also great, like those who assert sectarian views. If one experiences the illusory light of mantra, one might think, how is it possible that it does not symbolize the wisdom of meaning? If a nominalist arises, that is indeed true. However, the emptiness that you yourself spoke of from Madhyamaka

Since you said that if it is not related to self-nature, the life force cannot be cut off, then even if the illusory light appears, if the true nature of reality is not known or seen, it is established by this promise. It can also be understood by the way of acknowledging the wisdom of reality as conditioned. Furthermore, the five wisdom winds of Madhyamaka can appear in all forms, just as they can appear as the body of a deity according to the mind's desire, like the great seal of emptiness and form. Because it is the action of the primordial wind, it is different from the dream body, and it can definitely manifest strongly as self-appearing emptiness and form, as symbolized by the twelve similes of illusion, remembering the clear, complete, and pure signs and examples. Although it is made of primordial wind, it is mixed with the defilements of karma wind. Now there is still a part to make it more pure, so it is called impure illusory body. Even luminosity can be purified due to the mixture of mind and wisdom, until the ultimate union. After the light of reality appears, the pure illusory body is established, because it is different from conditioned meditation. However, there are still many obscurations, like the practice of emptiness above the second ground. In the stage of simile light, although the wisdom of practice and the wisdom of what is practiced are mixed and cannot be distinguished, the part of wisdom is permanent, and the part of consciousness is impermanent, so it is established as impermanent. However, the wisdom of reality is permanent, just as the mind that practices emptiness is impermanent, but the emptiness that is practiced by it is permanent. When the general meaning of emptiness arises in the mind, because the mind has that nature, if there is no mind, it does not exist. When there is mind, it seems to be related to the mind, just like the general meaning of space appears. However, Dzogchen must be determined as the co-emergent nature of reality, so it is established as unconditioned, just as emptiness is unconditioned, but it must be determined by mind. The practice of the wisdom of the first ground mind does not exist, but the dharmadhatu that is practiced appears nakedly, so although the unconditioned is permanent, it is not constantly present, and it grows from high to high. Is it reasonable to admit this like ripples in water due to the obscurations? It still needs to be analyzed in detail according to the scriptures. If there is no practitioner, who will realize it? Because apart from the dharmadhatu, there is no so-called "mind" to be found at all, the object and the subject.
