However many sentient beings there are, his wisdom, compassion, and power pervade that many. It should be understood that he has no dualistic appearance or dualistic grasping, but is spontaneously accomplished without thought. There is not a single dharma that he does not know, there is not a single sentient being that he abandons, and there is not a single sentient being for whom he does not engage in activity. This is important. That ground, in all the stages of ground, path, and fruition, is unchanging, unmoving, and equal. If it is realized as it is, it is nirvana; if it is not realized, it can give rise to samsara, therefore it is called ground. When the energy that arises from the ground realizes the nature of that dharmata, it is called knowing as it is. When all dharmas pervaded by knowing as it is are known as being of one taste, it is called knowing as many as there are. When the ground is realized, one does not see a separate mind that realizes, apart from the ground itself. Therefore, although the ground has the qualities or nature of being spontaneously accomplished, capable of manifesting all appearances as many as there are, samsara and nirvana are not spontaneously accomplished as existing within it. Samsara and nirvana are designated from the aspect of appearing manifestly. Therefore, from the point of view of the way the ground abides in the expanse, it must be admitted that there is no Buddha, no sentient beings, etc., that it is free from all elaboration, or that it is primordially pure. Although the ground is like that, ordinary sentient beings do not know the truth and become unspecified. Although they have the ground, they do not know it. Noble bodhisattvas, in order to realize it, know as it is in various ways, and accordingly, as many as there are also arises in various ways. The complete perfection of the Buddha is due to the fact that all adventitious stains are removed. If one thinks about this, the essence of the ground and the result are inseparable, but there is a difference in terminology. Maha Yoga's acceptance of the seven treasures as spontaneously accomplished in essence is not like the way the ground was established at the beginning when the ground appearance of Dzogchen had not yet arisen. At this time when the ground appearance has already arisen, the dharmata, whose nature is equal, has not moved from the expanse of as it is, and all the dharmas that appear from its nature are established as great purity, which is pure by nature. Even at the time of having two purities by the power of being free from adventitious stains, the previously established great purity and equality is only manifested, and there is no result superior to that.

It is in terms of the state of affairs. In terms of phenomena, although it is considered that the naturally pure ground and the difference of suddenly separated impurities are the Dharmadhatu fruit, it is not without difference. But when refuting, it is necessary to determine the situation as it is. If it is not determined in this way, then samsara itself will not be regarded as nirvana. When distinguishing, although it is according to phenomena, this does not prevent samsara and nirvana from being equal in reality, because in terms of the situation, there is no impurity. Furthermore, for those who think that the wisdom body of the Buddha etc. is impermanent, it has already been well shown how to prove that the wisdom body of the Buddha and self-arisen wisdom are permanent. Now, to briefly summarize the main points and explain a little, this is inseparable from the Dharmadhatu, so it must be proved in this way. Because from the Dharmadhatu, there are the three-time sequential dharmas, and the appearance of all dharmas as different aspects, the Dharmadhatu is not impermanent, nor will it become many. Although all dharmas do not become other Dharmadhatus, but appear as arising and ceasing within themselves, if one examines with the ultimate reality as the dominant factor, then no dharma has ever experienced a moment of arising, so how can there be a continuous sequence of accumulating many moments? Gradual arising and ceasing is just a nominal phenomenon. Therefore, these two are not contradictory, but this will never make the Dharmadhatu impermanent, because the Dharmadhatu is distinguished by the unconditioned, that is, there is no change in the three times, but it can manifest the phenomena of the three times. For those with minds that grasp phenomena, it will appear as sequential. Similarly, although countless different dharmas appear, if not even one dharma has its own nature to grasp in reality, what need is there to mention the accumulation of many dharmas? Therefore, although the Dharmadhatu of many flavors is not many, it appears as many to those with minds that grasp phenomena. These are like the sky, which is permanent without change, but is given the names of past, future, and present sky, as well as the sky of the ten directions, and due to the container, the sky has round, square, etc., as well as high and low, large and small, obscured and unobscured distinctions, but the nature of the sky itself is just one empty space, and there are others due to time, direction, and container.
