Because the apprehended and apprehender are not established. Therefore, in the great expanse of the union of appearance and emptiness, luminosity, although there is no appearance of limitation such as 'this is what,' in the state of non-duality and equality, there is no absence of all-encompassing compassion with all perfect aspects, like the self-radiance of a crystal. Therefore, it must be understood that emptiness without appearance and appearance with appearance are not contradictory, because in the vision of the Buddhas who perfectly complete the three times equally, all directions and times are perfectly completed in an instant without limitation. Therefore, their wisdom, having undergone transformation, is inconceivable. In the presence of those with limitations in time and direction, the very nature of luminosity itself does not waver from its nature of being inconceivable, with the four times equally complete, but in the presence of those who have not attained the ultimate transformation of the object-possessor, there are various appearances such as appearing and not appearing, vast and small, pure and impure, but the nature of the ground does not change into various forms. Therefore, even if there is delusion, there is no actual movement from the state of dharmata, but due to the delusion of self-appearance, one is self-bound and experiences the appearance of samsara like a dream, which is due to the power of one's own mind. As it is said, "Apart from conceptual thought, there is nothing called samsara." Therefore, due to conceptual thought, not knowing that all phenomena are merely appearances without basis or root, one examines the manner of appearance and thinks, "This is existent, this is non-existent, this is self, this is other," and so on. Such appearances of clinging are deluded appearances. If one examines correctly, the ultimate nature of dharmata, the original ground, the luminosity of self-nature, is the returning of delusion to the ground. This is where the lord of beings, who transforms into all three realms, is again dissolved. As stated in the Kalachakra Tantra, delusion arises from the state of equality of selflessness. When the self-radiance of dharmata dawns outwardly, it is deluded by grasping the object and the subject. By abiding in the natural state of dharmata, there is no delusion in dharmata from the beginning. Therefore, all temporary delusions are returned to the ground, as explained in detail above. Such dharmata, luminosity, the emptiness endowed with all supreme aspects, is the path of sutra when cultivated through subsequent inference and intellectual speculation, and the completion stage of mantra when directly ascertained. However, even in the completion stage, there are differences of near and far, resulting in something similar to direct perception and...

Because there are differences in slowness and speed, there is fast and slow. In the Sutra Pitaka, it is only determined that in the intermediate wheel, all dharmas are empty of inherent existence and the appearance of dependent origination is merely a union. But because it is not said that there is a self-manifesting body and wisdom of self-arisen luminosity that is not produced by the cause of karma and afflictions, body and wisdom are accomplished from the beginning by cause, and merely realizing the emptiness of arising or the nature of reality is not enough, so it is necessary to perfect the accumulation of great compassion. In the final wheel, because it is taught that the nature of mind, the dharmadhatu itself, is inseparable from the appearance of body and wisdom, and all sentient beings are pervaded by the Great Vehicle lineage of the Tathagatagarbha, it is taught that they can attain Buddhahood. But it is taught that the cause of its manifestation depends on the cause of accumulating the two accumulations. In mantra, if one makes such a naturally perfect mandala of the Buddha, which is naturally present from the beginning, into a path by means of skillful means, then merely realizing it will manifest Buddhahood, and there is no need to seek a newly arising Buddha accomplished by cause separately. Rather, it teaches the complete stage with characteristics, which is the method of entering the suchness of the luminosity of one's own mind. In Dzogchen, the self-arisen wisdom of natural perfection is introduced as naturally abiding, and the key to dissolving the signs of luminosity into self-clarity is taught as the ultimate path of direct perception, so it is accomplished to the end. The body of wisdom, the two great accumulations perfected, is called the body of ultimate reality. In short, what is called a sentient being is merely a self-manifesting delusion from the realm of luminous clarity. In the face of that delusion, benefiting by doing good and harming by doing evil are infallibly true. Because its existence is taught, there is merit and non-merit. By its power, abandoning evil and practicing great virtuous dharmas is called the accumulation of merit. By that merit, one can temporarily obtain the happiness and goodness of gods, humans, and bodhisattvas, and ultimately accomplish the form body. Wisdom refers to the meaning of realizing the nature of things without being deluded. It abandons the two obscurations and accomplishes the result, the Dharmakaya, which is what is taught in the causal vehicle. In mantra, the nature of primordial luminosity is ascertained as it is, and because the illusory appearance is naturally liberated, there is no object of benefiting by doing good and harming by doing evil, it is primordially pure.
