The extraordinary conduct of a Bodhisattva endowed with special blessings, because it possesses power, cannot be destroyed by any obstacles, and thus is able to attain its own result, just as a guest with a large army is sure to arrive safely at any place they desire, like a Chakravartin and the youthful Buddha. Therefore, a complete collection of causes will definitely generate subsequent results. This will not allow obstacles any opportunity, and ultimately will complete the collection of causes for the result. Therefore, just as in treatises on logic, the clear appearance of a wheel pattern on the palm of the hand predicts that one will become a king, from the specific differences in causes, future signs that will occur become clear, and this is called a sign. Furthermore, signs of the stages of the path, such as clean clothes, are signs because they are connected to the Bodhisattva's special inner thoughts, the desire for self-pacification, manifest compassion that has turned away, and stable conceptualizations of skillful means and wisdom. Moreover, although there are many signs, to summarize, in other "Mother Sutras," there are twenty signs of non-retrogression on the path of accumulation, sixteen signs of the path of seeing, and the realization of the eight profound qualities of the path of meditation. Among these, the reversal of the manifest clinging to truth in forms and so on, the non-arising of manifest doubts about the Three Jewels, and so on, are eleven signs of non-retrogression while abiding in the heat stage. The non-occurrence of eighty thousand kinds of worms in the body and so on are six signs of the peak stage. The two signs of tolerance are that one cannot be led by other paths and that one knows the demons who show false paths as demons. Abiding in conduct that pleases the Buddhas in all activities is the sign of the supreme Dharma, thus twenty-three are spoken of. Here, from "Ocean of Qualities" to "without hesitation," the signs of non-retrogression on the path of accumulation are spoken of, that is, the reversal of the manifest clinging to truth in forms and so on, thus being separated from the perception of difference. That is to say, the existence of such profound Dharma in one's own continuum does not contradict the profound Dharma nature, and it can be known from speaking reasonable words. Without any doubt in the Three Jewels, having unwavering faith, therefore, one does not rely on other ascetics and Brahmins as refuges who show the path other than this teaching.

By abandoning manifest non-virtue, one constantly abandons the lower realms 3. Abiding in one's own ten virtues and striving to establish others therein 4. Teaching the Dharma to others without expecting anything in return, engaging in generosity and other practices for the benefit of others 5. Having no doubt about the profound meaning, one is solely delighted in the Dharma 6. This implicitly shows that all the latent tendencies of ignorance and wrong views are destroyed from the root 7. Always speaking gentle words, etc., possessing the three actions of body, speech, and mind endowed with loving-kindness 8. Being fully endowed with mindfulness and awareness in walking, standing, sleeping, and sitting, symbolized by the length of a yoke, etc. 9. This implicitly shows that one does not associate with the five obscurations 10. Keeping both inner and outer conduct pure, and wearing clean clothes, etc. 11. The signs of a peak practitioner's irreversibility are: no worms arising in the body and no deceit in the mind. The three doors are solitary and pure, meaning the mind is solitary from deceit and the body and speech are completely pure. Not desiring gain but receiving learning and merit. The supreme one means that one's own mind is free from the stains of stinginess and misconduct, etc., and for the sake of others, one even seeks the suffering of hell, i.e., accepting suffering, through these two ways one becomes the supreme among beings. Always desiring the Dharma and the Prajnaparamita, and engaging in them without separation, therefore in all activities one is endowed with the nature of Dharma, benefiting the six realms of beings. The two signs of patience are: transcending the realm of Mara and, through the power of wisdom that does not rely on others, not being led by others. The sign of the supreme Dharma, the conduct that pleases the Buddhas, is not explicitly stated, but it is said that the above qualities increase, abiding in the supreme Dharma, meaning all conduct pleases the Buddhas, without even a speck of impurity, it is a wonderful conduct that accomplishes the two benefits. Know that this is the most supreme. Alternatively, transcending the realm of Mara encompasses both signs of patience. Not relying on others, mastering the profound nature of Dharma, this is said to be the sign of irreversibility for those who are supreme in Dharma, but in reality, it is not contradictory. The sixteen moments of the wisdom of knowledge and acceptance on the path of seeing are said to be the sign of irreversibility for those on the path of seeing, but this does not mean the wisdom of the path of seeing itself, but rather that it will not appear as a sign to others.
