8. And, by its power, the mind of the practitioner also becomes great by distinguishing all objects. 9. Immeasurable, without a fixed place to enter. 10. Also to be grasped are those that cannot be shown to the senses by example or nature. 11. In the ultimate sense, the world is suchness and so on. The mind of gathering and scattering is also inexhaustible by the nature of suchness. 12. The mind, by the nature of the realm of phenomena, becomes immeasurably vast. 13. Because the mind has no nature, it cannot be seen even by the five eyes. 14. In name, the mind of movement and so on is also known to be of a nature that does not deviate from suchness. 15. Thus it is shown. Thus, the way of knowing in name and the way of knowing in ultimate reality, that basis of all, comes from the knowledge of prajnaparamita that knows the basis of knowing the two truths as of equal taste. Therefore, in name, the Able One realizes suchness directly and shows it to others. 16. Knowing is also truly excellent. These characteristics are spoken of in some texts as being of indefinite number because they are in accordance with the intentions of those to be trained. However, even if only these sixteen are shown in accordance with the intentions of those to be trained, if one were to condense them from this, then in name, one would see the five aggregates of sentient beings without confusion, and in particular, the activities of the mind, as well as seeing the selflessness of ultimate reality, which could also be included in this. If one were to divide them extensively, they could become immeasurably many. However, the sixteen shown here are the general characteristics of the five aggregates of the world, and in particular, the specific activities of the mind, such as attachment and so on. It is very important to know these in order to accomplish the benefit of those to be trained, so by knowing this, all that should be known is included, so there is no reason why the sixteen are spoken of. This kind of reasoning should also be known in other situations. The characteristics of the knowledge of the path are extensively spoken of as sixteen, namely emptiness, signlessness, wishlessness, unborn, unceasing, unpolluted, unpurified, without objects to be accepted or rejected, the nature of nirvana, without a basis for abiding, suchness, the nature of space, the nature of phenomena without confusion, non-compounding, non-conceptualizing, without differentiation, without characteristics, the meaning shown from the sixteen reversals is suchness.

It is said that this is understood through the knowledge of the path. Here, a wise person says in one verse: Whether the Buddhas appear or not, the nature or dharma-nature of all dharmas cannot be changed by anyone, therefore it is undisturbed, naturally nirvanic, and has the nature of space. When Bodhisattvas understand the meaning of such a dharma-nature that is unchangeable or uncreated, the object to be refuted, cause and effect, are established as self-nature, and when they abide equally on the meaning that is undifferentiated by the thirteen distinctions such as birth, all the suchness and intentions of all dharmas become of one taste, therefore they are honored with the name Tathagata. So on and so forth. The names of the wisdom of omniscience are also extensively explained as sixteen, namely, the Buddha, relying on his uncommon dharma—the result, which is the Prajnaparamita that knows all aspects, abides in the equality of samsara and nirvana. Respecting the Prajnaparamita, acting according to the teachings and taking it as the guru, pleasing it by praising its qualities, offering it by scattering flowers and practicing, and realizing that in the ultimate sense there is no such action. And, with omniscient wisdom, knowing that one enters without obstruction into all objects included by the two truths. Or showing the profound dharma-nature unseen by worldly people, or showing that not seeing any extreme such as form is seeing the ultimate truth. And, showing the world, that is, the nature of the five aggregates, as the aspect of emptiness. And, speaking and causing to be heard to the disciples gathered in the retinue. Understanding the meaning of what is heard through thinking, thereby ripening the continuum. Through meditating on the meaning ascertained by thinking, realizing it directly, thereby liberating the continuum. And, showing that the nature of dharma-nature is beyond the object of worldly people's conceptualization, and is inconceivable. And, showing that all dharmas are naturally nirvanic and peaceful, or showing that the dharma-nature is the pacification of the elaboration of the object-possessor. And, showing the way to stop the five aggregates of the contaminated world, and stopping the attachment to this shore and the other shore and acceptance and rejection, that is, the perfection of the two benefits.
