This should be understood as the infallible principle of dependent origination. Any Bodhisattva who thoroughly examines this Dharma of dependent origination with reason, then dependent origination is merely inconceivable. However, in terms of ultimate truth, there is no birth of self-nature, and there is no cessation or extinction. Originally, it is the equality in the nature of the Dharmadhatu, the profound meaning of the Prajnaparamita that is inseparable from the two truths. Having understood and become familiar with this, its function is like the sun without clouds, radiating light and dispelling all darkness. It completely eliminates the sudden obscurations, the darkness of ignorance, and thereby attains the self-born wisdom that is non-dual with the Dharmadhatu, and becomes a Buddha. Thus it is said. Secondly, explaining the other five perfections, namely, Dhyana (meditation), Virya (effort), Kshanti (patience), Shila (ethics), and Dana (generosity). First, explaining the Paramita of Dhyana, which is to learn the Dhyana that becomes the basis of the supreme fruit; although learning, not being attached to self-interest; engaging in benefiting others through the gate of non-attachment; and concluding with the manner of being superior or inferior due to the difference in intention, there are four points in total. The first point is to learn the four Dhyanas, and to learn the four formless absorptions. First, "Endowed with great power," etc., one verse, that is, the Bodhisattva who is endowed with great power to accomplish qualities also abides in and becomes familiar with the four Dhyanas. However, at that time, he does not rely on them with attachment to signs, nor does he abide by tasting their flavor. However, the main body of Dhyana, each of its branches, namely, the four with investigation and analysis, etc., becomes the basis for obtaining the abandonment and realization of the supreme Bodhi, because the path of seeing, etc., relies on the mind of Dhyana. Second, "Obtaining supreme wisdom," etc., one verse, that is, the Bodhisattva who has obtained supreme wisdom abides in Dhyana, and also practices the four supreme formless Samadhis, but does not cling to them. These formless Dhyanas are free from sin and suffering, and are conducive to supernatural powers, etc. Therefore, they are studied because they become a helpful condition for obtaining supreme Bodhi. That Bodhisattva, the Shravaka

Therefore, it is not for the sake of training in that, in order to exhaust the defilements in one's own continuum and realize the fruit of peace in one taste. Secondly, there are two parts: a summary and a detailed explanation. First, this is one verse, "This is virtue, etc." This conduct is the rare and wonderful thing of the Bodhisattvas who accomplish all virtues. What is it? It is that they abide in the samadhi of meditative concentration and realize its signlessness with wisdom. Bodhisattvas who abide in that meditative concentration, if their karma is exhausted and their life is over, then for the sake of ripening sentient beings and other benefits, they take birth in the desire realm as they wish. Secondly, there are two parts: an analogy and a meaning. First, for example, "Like Jambudvipa, etc." is one verse. In this way, even though one has obtained the meditative concentration of the causal absorption, one is not born as a deity of the resultant meditative concentration, but instead is born down in the desire realm. Why is that? It is because one is not attached to meditative concentration, and it is for the sake of perfecting one's own virtuous dharma. For example, a person from Jambudvipa (Earth) who has previously resided in the realm of the gods, does not go to the beautiful city of the gods and other excellent places. Later, having gone there and seen the delightful places such as the mansions and gardens enjoyed by the gods, he is not attached to them, but returns to this Jambudvipa (Earth). Then, even though that person sees the splendor of the realm of the gods, he does not dwell there because he is not attached to it, just as he does not become attached to the lands of this Jambudvipa (Earth) and so on. Secondly, "Likewise, Bodhi, etc." is one verse. For example, like that, the Bodhisattva possesses the supreme qualities of wisdom, compassion, and so on, and diligently practices the yoga of samadhi. Abiding in the samadhi of the four dhyanas and so on, he does not become attached to it, but abides again in the desire realm, and has no attachment to the previous meditative concentration and the dharmas of the desire realm. Although born in the desire realm, he is not defiled by the desire realm's desire and so on, just as a lotus is not defiled by water, because he does not abide in the dharma of children. Thirdly, there are two parts: a summary and a detailed explanation. First, "Great Self, etc." is one verse. That Bodhisattva, even though he has obtained meditative concentration and the form realm, does not take birth there.
