Second, regarding "Buddha's sons" etc., this is one verse. The sons of the Buddha, the Bodhisattvas, the Hearers, the Solitary Realizers, and the gods, and other beings such as humans, all the laws of happiness and well-being arise from the supreme Prajnaparamita. Because Prajnaparamita produces the Buddha, and the Buddha teaches the Dharma, from this arises all the merit of higher realms and definite goodness. There is no other teaching that can make one understand the cause and effect of good and evil, and thus produce the worldly right view. Because one cannot know by one's own power alone. If there is no worldly right view, then all worldly happiness cannot be accomplished, and therefore will not arise. What need is there to mention the true transcendental path and fruit? On the other hand, Prajnaparamita is the meaning of unsurpassed wisdom, it is the wisdom that truly knows the nature of the two truths as they are. Therefore, all wisdom that truly knows the nature of the two truths is included in it and belongs to it as a part. Therefore, all wisdom that accomplishes higher realms and definite goodness depends on it directly or indirectly. Thus, although all the happiness of samsara and nirvana arises from Prajnaparamita, Prajnaparamita itself never decreases or increases, it abides as it is. Second, explaining the arising of samsara by way of example, and explaining the arising of purification by way of meaning, divided into two. First, regarding "inferior sentient beings" etc., this is one verse. In this world, in terms of body and enjoyment, there are inferior beings of the three lower realms, intermediate humans, and supreme gods, all these kinds of sentient beings arise from the root ignorance, as the Tathagata said. As it is said, "All dharmas arise from causes, the Tathagata speaks of their cause," whatever conceptualization that grasps at "I" and "mine," not seeing the true meaning, and grasping in a reversed way, that mental event is called ignorance. From ignorance arise the twelve links of dependent origination, such as action, therefore, contaminated karma and existence etc.

This cycle of suffering, which arises from the aggregation of afflictions and has the nature of changing into many and revolving again and again, thoroughly occurs. The cycle of ignorance in the realm of sentient beings, because of the arising of results, is neither exhausted nor increased, but remains as it is. Therefore, although it appears without inherent existence, the increase and decrease of existence, like an illusion, are not obvious. This is spoken from the perspective of convention, considering the entirety of the world that is pervaded by the realm of phenomena. Second, one verse regarding the way of wisdom, etc.: The wisdom of the Buddha who is beyond learning, the path of meditation that accords with its way, the path of seeing that has become its gateway, the path of joining that is the means of its arising, and the path of accumulation that is its root—all of these arise from the supreme perfection of wisdom, because the realization of selflessness causes all of these to arise. The virtuous friend of the three wisdoms, through the accumulation of merit and the aggregation of causes, abandons what is to be abandoned on one's own path, generates the qualities of realization, and causes the wheel of action or the wheel of wisdom to transcend the world. And its root, the perfection of wisdom, never has an end of cessation, nor does it increase beyond the previous state, but remains as it is. Likewise, in the Sutra Requested by Akashagarbha, it is said: "If all phenomena that arise in dependence on causes are thoroughly known, its treasury will not be exhausted, the treasury of phenomena is inconceivable. These four phenomena are inexhaustible, the protector of the world has thoroughly proclaimed: sentient beings, space, bodhicitta, likewise the Buddhas and phenomena. If these were substances, they would be completely exhausted, because they do not exist, it is said that they are inexhaustible, therefore it is said that it is inexhaustible." Thus it is said. Third, summarizing the meaning. Bodhisattva, etc., one verse: Thus, knowing that all phenomena of samsara and nirvana are merely appearances of dependent arising is to comprehend the profound essence of the Buddha's teachings. Therefore, it is said that by realizing this, one obtains the appearance of phenomena and is able to see the Dharmakaya of the Buddha, thus proclaiming the conventional truth divided into two truths.
