Those Buddhas who emanate as Buddhas, although they perform all the activities of the Buddhas, such as teaching the Dharma, the emanations do not become even slightly arrogant, thinking, "I am performing the activities of the Buddhas," because they are merely appearances of emanations. Similarly, a wise person who is accustomed to practicing wisdom that realizes that all phenomena are empty in nature and appear like illusions, and who has become confident in it, a Bodhisattva who has attained the realm of non-discrimination, also, like an emanation and an illusion, although he shows all activities such as teaching the Dharma, there is no discrimination at all. Third, carpenters, craftsmen, etc., one verse: When a carpenter or craftsman skillfully makes a figure like a man or a woman, the man or woman made also performs all activities such as walking, but does not discriminate about the result of what I have done, because it has no mind. Similarly, the Bodhisattva who is skilled in practicing non-discriminating wisdom also does not discriminate about anything, but while abiding in non-discriminating wisdom, he performs all the activities of perfecting, maturing, and purifying. Thus, all phenomena are originally empty in their own nature and appear like illusions. When the mind that is accustomed to this becomes extremely clear, all phenomena appear only as having that nature, so non-discrimination arises like an illusionary person. And by the power of that non-discriminating wisdom, showing various spontaneously accomplished activities should be known as like a wish-fulfilling jewel. That non-discriminating wisdom should be known as being in accordance with the path of learning and as being fully perfected in the state of Buddhahood. Third, there are two qualities: the reverence of the gods and the subjugation of the demons. First: Thus, skillful conduct, etc., one verse: Those who are skilled in practicing such non-discriminating conduct are revered by many groups of worldly gods such as Brahma and Indra, who bow with their bodies with their palms together, and pay homage with great reverence, and become gods among gods, the Buddhas of the ten directions.
