Now, not relying from the depths of the heart, being skilled in and having faith in the principles of Dharma such as the infallibility of cause and effect, abandoning manifest misdeeds, thereby constantly obtaining the means to abandon the three lower realms and all unfavorable conditions represented by them. Those wise ones naturally abide in the path of the ten virtuous actions, and diligently strive to lead others to abide there as well. They have no mind to look at worldly things such as gain and honor, but teach beings in accordance with how the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas have shown the Dharma, such as the Paramitas. Because of their faith in the meaning of the profound Dharma, they are single-mindedly fond of the holy Dharma, and do not labor too much for other affairs, but make the Dharma their sole focus. Because they have cultivated the mind of benefiting others, they always speak gently, possessing the three actions of loving body, speech, and mind. Because they are accustomed to being mindful of virtuous Dharma, whether going far, walking near, lying down, or sitting, their four behaviors are free from carelessness, and are full of mindfulness and awareness. Specifically, for example, when walking on the road, their eyes look at a distance of about a yoke of wood, and they always avoid getting lost or hurting their bodies due to carelessness, and their minds are free from confusion. By the power of their wise and mindful minds, they abide in the faultless Dharma, and in order to make unbelievers abandon their disbelief, they thoroughly purify all their inner and outer behaviors, wearing clean clothes, etc., to please the minds of the beings to be tamed with pure conduct. Their three doors of body, speech, and mind are free from faults, and are as pure as a spotless crystal. Because they see the self-nature of conditioned phenomena, they do not particularly cling to them, but do not crave gain and honor by learning merits and so on. They subdue miserliness and other factors that are contrary to the Paramitas, adorn themselves with supreme merits, and strive to benefit others, naturally becoming the best among beings. They constantly desire the profound Dharma, and the Dharma is integrated with their own minds, so they are in accordance with the Dharma nature at all times. Because the profound Dharma nature is integrated into their practice experience, their wisdom and the Dharma nature are naturally inseparable, no matter what they say or do.
