Therefore, any novice Bodhisattva, having obtained this supreme Dharma of Prajñāpāramitā, if they do not practice accordingly, but seek ultimate Bodhi through treatises that guide to the Arhat state or fruition, then, like the examples above, this is also the work of Māra. Third, lacking a gathering for teaching and listening, there are two types: relying on oneself and relying on others. First, desiring offerings, etc., is one verse: Oneself becomes desirous of fame and the offerings of others, and also desires to taste the flavors of food, wealth, etc., that are obtained, and with a mind that desires to look at external objects, one becomes familiar with the homes of villages, and so forth. Through various kinds of distracting activities, one abandons the writing, listening, and contemplation of this profound Dharma, and instead engages in any kind of non-Dharmic activity, the basis of bad rebirths. Abandoning the right path and straying onto the wrong path, this is the work of Māra. Second, those who, etc., is one verse: When listeners are distracted by the teacher's desire for gain and honor, etc., at that time, they develop longing and faith for the Mother (Prajñāpāramitā) and go to listen to this sacred Dharma. However, if those listeners recognize that the Dharma speaker is attached to evil deeds such as delighting in gain and honor, they are no longer happy to listen to the Dharma from that Dharma speaker, become displeased, and turn away. This is also the work of Māra, which obstructs listening to Prajñāpāramitā, etc. Fourth, at that time, etc., is one verse: When someone is listening to this profound Dharma, etc., these works of Māra, which obstruct correct practice, such as not having a gathering for teaching and listening, will occur. Why? When listening to the profound Dharma, etc., those evil Māras who hate the Dharma, feeling as if they are being pricked by thorns, disturb the minds of many Sutra-holding monks, and through various means of obstruction, prevent this profound Prajñāpāramitā from being properly upheld, contemplated, etc., thereby engaging in acts of obstruction.

There are many other ways that are not explained here. In short, when practicing this profound Dharma, if anything becomes a harmful aspect to it, whatever it may be, it should be considered the work of Mara. Because the obstruction itself is called the work of Mara. As it is said in the Sutra Requested by Akashagarbha: "Noble son, whatever enters into non-virtuous Dharma and abandons virtuous Dharma, all that is the work of Mara." Second, the reason for arising from Mara. Jewel value, etc., one verse: Just as jewels are difficult to find, because priceless treasures cannot be found at any time. When found and held, they are always harmed by others, greedy enemies, etc. Similarly, the wisdom of the Buddhas, the supreme jewel of the Perfection of Wisdom, is also extremely rare to arise. Because it is difficult for those with perfect merit to obtain it, they are always harmed a lot. Third, the place where obstacles arise, and how the Buddhas protect from them. First, newly entering the vehicle, etc., three sentences: For sentient beings with weak minds who are newly entering the Mahayana, this extremely rare and profound jewel of Dharma, which can transcend the realm of Mara, like this, those who have not been obtained before, that is, have not fallen into experience, in order to create obstacles for them, Mara will become active, because they see the opportunity. Second, the main text and illustration by example. First, the Buddhas of the ten directions, etc., one sentence: If there are so many obstacles from Mara for the initial practitioners of the Mother Tantra, then it will be difficult for Bodhisattvas to complete the practice of Prajnaparamita. Just as some weak people who find jewels are protected by the local king. The Buddhas, Bhagavan, residing in the realms of the ten directions, with unobstructed wisdom eyes, strive or dedicate themselves to completely protecting those who initially practice this Dharma, transcend the realm of Mara, and have not gained experience, from the cliff of obstacles.
