Observe the various states of the earth. Will there be craving for it again? The creator who cherishes desires in your heart, Upon careful observation, it is thinner than the silk of a lotus, This tiny particle of flesh, Discard this exhausted body! With all things that delight this friend (referring to the body), May it be joyful, with such a strong desire, Clinging to the mind as a friend, Yet not understanding that it is just a collection of dust. Like firewood in a blazing fire, Where can one find satisfaction in relying on desires? That is impossible to exist, Never being satisfied is the root of exhaustion. If it were enough to just slightly satisfy desires, Then what are the desires that have never been experienced before? Now, experiencing the same desires again, What is the point of striving for this again? No matter how wonderful the desires of samsara are, They are all compounded and will naturally vanish in an instant. What has passed will not reappear, What has not been experienced remains as it is, what is being deceived? Relying on what, leads people into the terrifying darkness of samsara, Guiding and grasping the perilous cliffs. The desires with much pleasure and great suffering, Are like livestock eating the roots of grass. Like fruits that are sweet but poisonous. Whatever is experienced is inevitably accompanied by, The ripening of change and karma, The root of countless unbearable sufferings. Is it not like a hunter playing a flute? Not entering the heart with a joyful demeanor, But seeing the suffering of consequences like sharp swords piercing, Will all beings follow? Like this, beings whose minds are blinded, Have been bound by desires since beginningless time. They are also in the boundless ocean of samsara, Constantly being pulled back and forth. Like this, after recognizing the flaws of desires, Towards other beings deceived by desires, With great compassion moistening the heart, Using various methods to help them. Those beings dwelling in the Avici hell, Each moment diminishes the burden of sins. While beings attached to pleasure, Each moment increases the burden of sins. Therefore, for whatever one possesses and pursues, With the wisdom of seeing its impermanent nature, Again and again generating strong compassion, One can go higher and higher.
