Alas, the sound of Dharma! If one wholeheartedly embraces it through hearing, contemplation, and familiarization, It surpasses the sound of celestial drums and the taste of honey, It is a thousand times deeper than the essence of tasting nectar. At the end of the subtle flickering light of bliss, The darkness of suffering is deepened a thousandfold. Regarding the unreliable nature of samsara's laws, The conduct of the wise and virtuous ones, Without thinking of anything, in a delightful appearance, Even enjoying happiness as if there were no death, Alas! Suddenly, the messenger of the Lord of Death, Will come like a thunderbolt falling upon the crown of the head. Alas! Woe to the wide-open eyes devoid of beauty, From the very moment of gazing at the faces of grieving relatives, Whose tears of sorrow are streaming, One departs to a place never to be seen again. Those deceived by attachment to pleasant appearances, Having completely abandoned beneficial methods, And piling up many harmful actions, paving the way to the precipice, How can they think they will depart in happiness? With an army of four divisions, raising banners, In the center surrounded by all directions, The beautiful and youthful consorts, Adorned with eyes like blooming lotuses, With a beautiful face like the new moon, Walking with a light of wondrous pride, Near the high throne of that one, Even those who swagger with the demeanor of powerful lions, With a manner that scorns the braided crown of hair, And the exalted lords who are connected in succession, The feet of the executioner of Yama strike their heads, And lead them into the darkness of terror. That which is seen and causes joy, making the body hair bristle, The beautiful face like a blooming lotus, And the rows of smiling teeth displaying their stamens, Will become like a rotten, foul-smelling stump. Therefore, in this world or another world, Wherever there is no enemy of old age and death, There is no being who can freely indulge in desires, It is neither possible nor does it exist. What need is there to speak of the extremely fragile body? The great universe, adorned with various splendors, Will one day vanish into the sky like a rainbow, Disappearing without leaving a trace. Thus, at the ultimate end of the vast sky, All of samsara, with its diverse appearances of happiness and suffering, Like the meeting of lightning in the sky, Although it is the law of impermanence and inevitable change, The foolish ones are attached to the illusion of...

Wealth and possessions, taken as the essence of trust, creating many non-virtuous actions. When will the body and wealth be abandoned, and non-virtuous actions be taken up and gone? Alas! Those whose wisdom is extremely weak, who are deluded and attached even to what is obvious. For them, who can teach, how can they be advised? Only familiarizing oneself with one's own mind is what should be done. Death is certain, and at that time, the accumulation of wealth will not follow even a little. Although one can certainly be convinced of this oneself, will one still continue the habit of conflicting thoughts and actions? Therefore, if you wish to benefit yourself, familiarize yourself again and again with the state of mindfulness. There is no teaching more profound than this, that anyone could ever express. The objects to be familiarized with are: the attitude of not trusting in samsara, and the refuges worthy of trust, and the things that are beneficial to oneself. I, whose unfortunate fate is bound by all the many faults of samsara, and who continuously experiences suffering, from now until enlightenment, take refuge in the Three Jewels, the infallible and most trustworthy refuge. The happiness and suffering of samsara are painted by karma, and karma arises truly from the three roots. Therefore, turn away from the three and place your faith in the three, and make it a practice to cultivate them again and again. The mind of desire is the source of destruction, it binds us in the three realms of existence. Those who are bound by its iron chains cannot go to the peaceful place of tranquility. The source of all impure filth is a leaky vessel that constantly drips with impurities. Flesh, blood, bones, mucus, phlegm, excrement, urine, etc., are nothing but impurity. From the beautiful folds of silk brocade, standing tall and arranged in rows, each individual. If the impurity of their bodies can cause displeasure, then what more needs to be said? Even the face that is so pleasing, if it lacks one thing, such as an ear, one will feel aversion and dislike it, so what difference will the remaining parts make? Even the filth of a beautiful and pleasing young woman is clung to by people as something desirable. This world does not realize that there is not the slightest difference between that filth and other objects. If the skin of the beautiful face that one always wants to see is peeled off and revealed in front, one will feel disgust and fear.
