Not only that, but also, like in a pool of impure water, become extremely accustomed to aversion. Therefore, by being attached to this, one will not obtain the glory of perfection. If one uses the method of abandoning this evil thing, one can attract countless benefits and happiness, and it will naturally separate. In order to obtain the essence of what is without essence, what is there that one cannot abandon among the things one possesses? One should be extremely happy to give. Alas! These beings who are deceived by the magic of ignorance, wander again and again uncontrollably in the wilderness of samsara. When they hold me in the womb and take care of me, they look at me like a piece of their heart, and serve me with all the glory they possess. Such a perfect and loving mother, one never has the opportunity to abandon on one's own, but is robbed by the birth and death of other powers. All sentient beings in the ten directions desire happiness like me. However, I see my mothers abandoning happiness because of ignorance. Having been bound by love for a long time, they die from the suffering of separation. Even now, when they meet, they scold as if ignorant, and their minds are disturbed by the drunken demons, and diseases of suffering such as hatred always lurk in their hearts. Are not mothers destroyed by decay? Wandering in the helpless samsara, for the long-lasting unbearable suffering, for all these beings who were once relatives, whose heart would not be filled with love? Therefore, for any sentient being, not only is there no anger, but one should cultivate extreme loving-kindness, like a mother towards her beloved child. This being that I should nurture, even if he only obtains a small amount of happiness, I am angry with him, alas! By whom is my mind deceived? The glory and wealth of others does not take away anything from me, even if he does not have it, I I do not gain anything from it. Even if one perfects virtues like the ocean, and completely becomes a Buddha, my virtues will not be diminished. Why should I be angry about this? Even if arrogant glory oppresses me, glory is the result of good deeds, and arrogance will destroy it, therefore, he is also worthy of compassion. Above this being full of faults, there are many who possess virtues, but for all of them

What is there to be proud of? What is there to be proud of in the inferior? Because in this world, the inferior and the virtuous are boundless. Who considers whom inferior? Jealousy destroys my merit. Therefore, towards the perfections of others, not only do not be jealous, but like a poor person finding a great treasure, cultivate heartfelt rejoicing and joy. If you think that you are superior to others by virtue of your merits, it is because you were not originally endowed with merits, but only arose from conditions. I am conditioned and subject to conditions. Others are the same. Who can prevent this person from possessing glories that surpass mine? The basis of beings is not directly visible to me, so for this person, there is no merit superior to mine, and what evidence is there? I am endowed with the faults of arrogance and other afflictions, and in the ocean of suffering of samsara, I am helplessly tossed by the waves of suffering. This conditioned and sudden merit is also subject to decline due to other conditions, so why should I develop pride? Just as sesame seeds contain the fragrance of flowers, merits will also appear in anyone, but because they are mixed with the defilements of leakage, what is there in me that is pleasing? Whether in lineage, appearance, wealth, etc., merits are higher and higher, with hundreds of thousands of kotis of transcendence, compared to the masses, I am extremely inferior. Those who are without faults and endowed with merits abide with equanimity, but I am full of faults and belittle others with arrogance, how can my mind be proud? If a small merit makes my self-continuum feel proud, then why not consider my self-continuum extremely low because of the presence of many faults? If there is no stain of arrogance at all, then I am the most supreme, but like this, because I have arrogance, who is more inferior than me? The stream of aggregates of selflessness and conditioned phenomena, relying on conditions, holds the existence of things, therefore, even if merits are equal to space, what is there for me to be arrogant about? If there is pride, etc., then you should recognize that you are lower than everything, and like a tamed noble horse, practice the behavior of respecting everyone. In this way, for the reality of the two truths, through the definitive understanding of discernment, repeatedly familiarize yourself, thereby thoroughly purifying the clinging to appearances.
