You, who pretend to be brave against external ghosts, and are worshipped like a god by fools. Because the inner ghost dances in your heart, it is truly shameful that the lie has been exposed today! Even playing happily sways like a bubble. Seeing others, you abandon your previous thoughts, and the form of a beautiful woman displeases the desireless mind. The perception of clinging to beauty is like a mirage. After saying this, the old man said: Although that is so, no matter what you say, that woman is stuck in my heart like a nail. Unless I can get that woman, there is no other way to eliminate the pain. Saying this, he sighed deeply. The young man said: Friend, think about it, calm down, listen to me. Pull out the nail of pain in your heart like this. If it is not pulled out by your own mind, then there is no other way in the world. In the vast space of the Alaya consciousness, the mind is the ignorant child of delusion. Why do you utter meaningless cries? You say the beauty is stuck in your heart. Don't you know that the mind is stuck on the beauty? This stiff body, even if it embraces a thousand beauties, will not generate desire. Even if thousands of ugly lepers defile it with excrement and urine, it will not feel disgusted. Therefore, isn't the one who desires and clings to it the inner mind itself? It is not that the beauty has deceived you from the outside, but that your own delusion has deceived you from the inside. Since the mind abides in itself, even the five eyes cannot see it. Who can bind and control it? It is yourself who stretches out your delusions and tightly embraces that object. The fault lies in the habit of repeated practice, like a nail being hammered in. The delusions that arise from within the mind imprison even the unattached mind. Tying knots in empty space, you suffer various kinds of pain for no reason. Now, pull out the nail of attachment and let go! If you recognize the key point, pulling it out is in your own hands. If you don't see the key point, pulling it out is extremely difficult. Don't you know that the sudden movement of something without substance has plunged you into suffering? In the space where the mind has no fixed form, how can a beauty be stuck in it? Think carefully, think carefully, think about the beauty. This example can bring great benefits. After saying this, the old mantra practitioner pulled out the nail of pain in his heart from the root, and his wisdom became clear like a cloudless sky, touching the key point of constant and uninterrupted bliss.

In the Tibetan language: Child, you are truly a treasure trove of benefit and happiness! It is such a pity that I did not meet you sooner. The saying "Whatever appears is mind" is just a big boast, Without grasping the essence, merely boasting with words. Youthful years are wasted in vain, becoming slaves to desire. Do not abandon bliss-emptiness with empty talk, but take it into your hands. Drinking the intoxicating liquor that turns daylight into darkness, At night, the great fire of lust blazes upon women. Alas, because the instruction did not strike the essential point, The bonds of afflictions become even tighter. How greedy the vine of the body has become, Just like that, tormented by the fire of desire. If hatred and afflictions increase excessively, Surely one will become a kind of demon. Even the deepest and most severe negative rebirths, Who but these afflictions could bring them about? Like a butcher skilled in the vital points of life, If one becomes skilled in the great method of mantra, Then, like taking the life of attachment and hatred, One can play and swagger with illusory actions. For those ones, the object of attachment and so on, Does not bind them, just as water does not obstruct the moon in water. Like dry wood to a blazing fire, What harm can attachment and so on do to it? If attachment and so on do not bind them, Then by what other means can they be held in samsara? In short, to quickly liberate from the mud of afflictions, This great method's instruction is infallible. Alas, like me, without the essential point, I recklessly engage in anything, presuming it to be mantra. If union like the Lord is Dharma, Then why have all the swarms of insects not been liberated long ago? Alas, if in this vast world, There are others like me who boast of mantra, Then, wondrous child, with your miraculous power, Clearly explain the meaning of the words and strike the essential point. Now, because of your kind guidance, Instead of seeking liberation by following desire, Accept desire as your own target, And plant the sharp fire-drill of instruction upon it. For the desirous one, old age is the greatest enemy, For the experienced one, it is like healing a peacock's wound with poison. That which increases the splendor of virtue and joy, Surely is a beneficial teacher. Saying this, with eyes filled with tears, he prostrated again and again. The child said: Alas! Among the unfortunates, you are fortunate! Listen to me again, child. I will tell you a path without error. When the eyes see a beautiful woman,
