Thus accordingly. Dwelling in solitude, expounding Dharma and practicing Dharma. Merely with appearances, deceiving foolish ones. In this evil time when others regard as sacred. Those who are wise and know their own benefit. In order for one's own mind to be manifest to oneself. Do not look at others' faces, look at your own mind. After examining your own mind, offer advice to yourself. This mind is disturbed by the waves of many thoughts. Observing it, there are many thoughts of the eight worldly dharmas. Virtuous mind, calm abiding, insight, and proper yoga are rare. If one wastes one's life with this, alas, it is pitiful. After hearing the Dharma, in order to practice diligently. The way of practicing the yoga of the mind in solitude. Even so, one's own continuum is slightly more than before. Whether there is growth or not, examine your own mind truthfully. Nowadays, those who speak empty words and pleasing speech. Saying without hesitation about accepting and rejecting good and evil. Pretending to be great practitioners, not knowing their own nature. There are many who have not truly approached the real meaning. What is called death is unbearable suffering. Experiencing hell and so on is even more painful. Those who say there is no abandoning samsara. It is strange to doubt harsh words and so on now. The power of gods and humans is the peak of worldly happiness. Liberation is even more supremely blissful than that. Those who have no hope of attaining Buddhahood but are confident. Why would they generate suffering for the sake of bad alcohol? Whatever arises is self-liberated, even if it is the supreme vehicle path. Yet always bound by the chains of the eight worldly dharmas. Saying whatever arises is self-liberated is a cause for shame. Merely understanding the meaning of the equality of dharmata. A good rebirth is also the result of merit from many eons. For the yogi who has equality as a cushion. There is no attachment, aversion, hope, fear, or other suffering. Therefore, look back at your own mind. Pretending to want one's own happiness, self-praise. Unable to bear others' prosperity, jealousy, deceit, and so on. Is there no stain of faults? Calm abiding that pacifies the waves of thoughts, and. The skill of insight that sees the face of reality itself. From before until now, how much has it increased? Offer advice to your own mind again and again. Even if one is wealthy due to happiness, one is not content. Having one, one seeks two, having this, one seeks another. Even if one possesses all the wealth on earth. One should see the nature of the mind that is never satisfied. The waves of thoughts are like wrinkles on the water. If left to their own, there is no end to them. No matter how much one thinks, it is meaningless.

I don't have even a speck of ego. Mostly, it's the nature of afflictions and suffering. If you don't transform the many thoughts into one Dharma all at once, like a child holding pebbles and sticks, it won't naturally let go, it will continue like that, indulging in it. Therefore, completely cut off bad habits and conceptual thoughts. If you don't prolong the continuum of abiding actions, you won't gain the warmth of habit, you won't be able to grasp yourself. So, with the effort of not being distracted for even a moment, strive to make continuous diligence dependent on years and months. If you don't cut the chain of downward tendencies and cultivate it, meditation won't produce the stainless self-radiance. Gradually, becoming more and more peaceful, abiding more and more peacefully, with a relaxed and clear mind, purify the downward tendencies into the expanse of space. The desire of a greedy person is said to be like a dog. When in solitude, look at your own mind. If you examine it well, regarding the desire for craving, if it's like a dog constantly indulging, it's a shameful thing. This hopeful mind is of a wavering nature. Some want friends, some want fame. Some want wealth, some want flattery. Not achieving it is painful, and even achieving it is not satisfying. Like drinking water in a dream, there is no satisfaction. Like fire in firewood, one's own mind is never satisfied. Turn the mind away from the objects of desire, and strive single-mindedly to abide correctly within. In this ocean of existence, which is the very nature of unbearable, boundless, and invisible suffering, even if temporary happiness appears, it is deceptive like the white smile of a Rakshasa woman. It doesn't stay for a moment, flaunting falsehood like lightning. No matter how much you use it, it won't satisfy you. No matter how good it is, there is never any trust. No matter how it appears, it is not truly established. The more you cling to it, the more it becomes the cause of suffering. If you examine and analyze, the phenomena of samsara, like trees in water, are definitely devoid of essence. Knowing this, one should have a tattered mind that is indifferent to good and bad, without attachment to conditioned and changing things. With whatever appears, naturally arising, aspire to the great, unchanging bliss. Too much physical activity exhausts the body. Too much speech stirs up conceptual thoughts. Too much mental thinking creates pain. Abandon this great effort like water ripples, and remember the true words spoken in the sutras by the teacher of gods and humans regarding the faults of delighting in actions, speech, and elaboration. Always guarding one's own mind is asceticism.
