Born from great power, praised like a white lotus, Whose name, when heard, brings irreversible change, To the supreme teacher, Shakyamuni Buddha, I pay homage. Unwavering like the sky, having attained the wisdom body, A master of illusion, dancing in a web of magic to tame beings, Protector, boundless in qualities, vast ocean, To the bodhisattva Akashagarbha, I pay homage. The regent of the Victorious Ones, the crown jewel of all bodhisattvas, Great loving-kindness, clouds filling the entire expanse of reality, A wondrous treasure of Dharma, the lord of Dharma, To the supreme protector, Maitreya, I pay homage. The sovereign of the earth, who guides all beings, The essence of all Buddhas and bodhisattvas, A wish-fulfilling jewel, the source of perfect glory, To the hero, Kshitigarbha, I pay homage. In the expanse of reality, the moon-like light of compassion, Radiantly clear, utterly destroying the darkness of obscurations, A great treasure of benefit and happiness, supreme among all bodhisattvas, To Sarvanivaranaviskambhin, I pay homage. The wisdom body of all Buddhas, a treasure of knowledge, Whose rays of light pervade the limits of existence and peace, The source of the Three Jewels, a precious jewel, To Manjushri, who has become a youth, I pay homage. Thus, these verses of praise and supplication to the eight close sons of the mighty sage were written by Mipham on the full moon day of the month of miracles in the Iron Hare year of Rabjung.
