May it be virtuous! ༈ A Praise to Glorious Vajradhara: The Sound of the Vajra Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुँ, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hum). The very form of the power, strength, and ability of all the Buddhas, a hero's body like molten blue sky, with a wrathful, passionate, seductive, beautiful, and captivating form, standing amidst a garland of blazing flames. Holding the great vajra (Tibetan: རྡོ་རྗེ, Sanskrit Devanagari: वज्र, Sanskrit Romanization: vajra, Chinese literal meaning: vajra) of the wisdom of all the Sugatas in your right hand, with a threatening mudra suppressing the armies of demons held at your heart, perfectly adorned with supreme precious ornaments, seated in the posture of half-lotus on a lotus-sun seat, with the ears of an elephant and the gaze of a lion. Vajra earth, water, fire, and the great "I," destroying all gatherings of decline, a magic that appears in any way. You are the father and mother of the assembly of beings, the very cloud of truth, the chief source of jewels, the secret of all the Buddhas, the supreme deity who holds everything. I prostrate to you, the Bhagavan Vajradhara. Possessing a vajra body, holding the supreme vajra, possessing the names of many vajras, the speech of vajra, possessing an indivisible vajra mind, the cloud of vajra. I prostrate to you, the wisdom vajra of all the Buddhas. Protector of all beings, incomparable lord, not weary of existence, with a truly wise mind, fulfilling the hopes of those to be tamed, the supreme wish-fulfilling jewel. When I pray to you with one-pointed mind, by the great indivisible vajra vow, liberate me, the wretched one tormented by the battles of the four maras, with compassion, quickly liberate me, and bestow the supreme glory of spontaneously accomplishing the two benefits. ༈ This praise according to the meaning of the name Vajrapani, spoken in the tantras, possessing the number of the seven royal possessions or the seven vajra dharmas, was written by Mipham on the 11th day of the 6th month of the Beautifying Year.
