Sung. If there is no conceptual thought, where can dualistic appearances exist? What appears, where does it appear? Because the three spheres of how it appears are not apprehended. Thus, one should investigate. Manjushri He. Furthermore, the meeting of the cause, hammer, and vase is the meeting of the present. The past and future are not known. When the hammer and vase meet, the hammer mark appears on the vase. That moment of meeting arises immediately. It is not reasonable for these three to be earlier or later in time. Thus, at the moment when cause and effect meet, the change that occurs that is different from before seems to have to be simultaneous with the two substantial causes. If so, then, 'Whatever arises together is a mutual result.' etc., is reasonable. The meeting of sense and object is also similar. The appearance of consciousness, like a hammer mark, can also be said to be 'nakedly grasping the object.' The basis of the appearance seems to be the present object. This is different from the views of the Sautrantikas, etc., so one should investigate what this is. In short, the appearance of dependent origination is established by valid cognition. It is established that the hammer and vase are simultaneous, and that one does not produce the other. However, at the time of meeting, the difference that arises in both that is different from the previous moment is the nature of the things of that moment. If not, then it seems that it must be nominally designated as cause and effect that does not arise without it. That time must be the final moment, but even then, there seems to be no alternative but the meeting of the present. This is that things are not contradictory. Contradictions are like hot and cold, and whether or not mental contradictions meet simultaneously should be investigated. If they meet, then at the time of meeting, it seems that the other does not exist, one should investigate. If one asks whether the Prasangika's system accepts the existence or non-existence of self-awareness and the alaya in name, in name, it is accepted as non-existent in terms of the part where there is no establishment of it. However, that does not make it completely non-existent in name. If it did, then it would have to be refuted by the investigator of names, like sound being permanent. In the Prasangika system, the very fact that mind is a knower implies that it is not known, like a lamp illuminates, a sword cuts, etc. It is sufficient that the mind knows the object, and that is enough to establish self-awareness. It is sufficient for the six consciousnesses to know the object, and there is no need to make the name of self-awareness. However, in reality, it is established that a lamp does not need another illuminator, but it is not self-illuminating, because it is not obscured by darkness. If there were self-awareness, then darkness should obscure itself.

B. It is like a sword cutting itself, this is an examination of the ultimate meaning. The establishment of the term of self-awareness is unstoppable and irrefutable. I think it is also unnecessary to refute the established term that is consistent with the meaning. Recorded on the 10th of the 11th month of the Fire Horse year. Also, regarding the elimination of others. There are two types of elimination of others: meaning and mind. If we further divide the elimination of others by mind, the non-conceptual mind grasps blue through the way of appearance, thereby indirectly eliminating non-blue. If it is not eliminated, it should not be grasped as blue. The way of eliminating with conceptual mind is twofold: the elimination of others by relying on sound, and the elimination of others by conceptual mind relying on it. The first is to enter through the way of eliminating all sounds. For example, the word "vase" cuts off non-vase. The word "yellow vase" cuts off non-vase and non-yellow color. The word "large yellow vase" cuts off non-vase, non-yellow, non-large, etc. All sounds have determination. As it is grasped by the mind, this is the way the mind eliminates. The elimination of others by sound will not occur without mutual connection. If it is not related to the mind, even if the sounds of pillar, vase, etc. are spoken, people who are not familiar with them will not understand anything, so it is not only by the power of sound, but by the power of the mind that establishes conventions and is proficient in conventions. If we further divide the elimination of others by meaning, just as grasping a vase eliminates non-vase, this is the elimination of others by non-affirming negation, such as a vase is not a pillar. Just as there is no pillar on a vase, this is the elimination of others by affirming negation. Also, in this aspect, the four non-existences such as the absence of a vase are also the nature of meaning, which is the elimination of others by affirming negation, that is, eliminating existence. From the power of determination, the vase itself is projected as a complete determination in front of the mind, relying on elimination and entry, so it is the way of entering to establish the vase. The entry of appearance is the entry of establishment, because by the power of the appearance of the vase, the vase is established as a complete determination, indirectly hindering the determination of non-vase. Therefore, although the terms of these two are inseparable, sounds and discriminations generate mental appearances by the power of sound, not by the power of meaning, so first rely on sound to eliminate others, which is called entering by relying on elimination. Also, in the Great Commentary on the Blissful Supreme by Dpa' bo rdo rje, it is said that because all outer and inner environments are glorious Heruka, performing fire offerings of respective actions externally and internally will accomplish the actions. This is very reliable, because on the outer thangka
