A collection of various discourses on the difficult points of general treatises such as Madhyamaka, called "The Jewel Box." Namo Guru Manjushriye. Whose toenails are wiped thousands of times by the jewels on the crowns of a hundred gods. In the clear mirror of excellent wisdom, the images of all knowable things are clearly reflected. With boundless love, he cares for limitless beings, arranging clouds in the ocean of realms. I prostrate to the father of all Buddhas, Manjushri, the inseparable Lama. The extraordinary intention of past habits, arising from the churning of the ocean of milk. The mandala of wisdom and compassion is fully bloomed, with a wondrous circle of appearances. In the vast sky of benefiting beings, the supreme garden of the lotus of the Buddha's teachings shines brightly. Acting as he pleases, he revives the festival of the first perfect age. The sun and moon, the treasure vase, the wish-fulfilling jewel, and the wish-fulfilling tree, etc. Although it is said in this world that they bestow benefits on all sentient beings, those are only temporary benefits, but the preciousness of good speech. Is the only nourishment that fulfills all permanent desires and delights the wise. Therefore, from countless lifetimes, by the power of being completely accustomed to good speech. Even today, from the inconceivable auspicious clouds of unseizable wisdom, dharani, and eloquence. Closely connected with the correct Three Valid Cognitions.

etc., but gathered in one place like a king's treasury or a jewel-filled container. Initially, in general, all the illusions of samsara arise from ignorance, and Buddhist teachings generally consider it to be the root. Ignorance is not merely the absence of knowledge, but because it is the root capable of generating the karma and afflictions of samsaric illusion, it is directly opposed to the wisdom of knowledge, such as clinging to the existence of a self. The antidote to this is the wisdom of knowledge, such as realizing selflessness. By abandoning the ignorance that clings to duality with this wisdom of knowledge, even though samsara, which is summarized by the cause of afflictions and the result of suffering, ceases, the undefiled dharmas summarized by the antidote of wisdom do not cease. Therefore, the nirvana of the Great Vehicle is not merely a cessation of samsara and an exhaustion of ignorance, which is a negation and non-existence. If it were, the nirvana of the Lesser Vehicle would be no different from the extinction of a flame. If the aggregates of purification do not remain after the five aggregates of samsara have ceased, then the nirvana of the Great Vehicle would become utter annihilation. Therefore, the nature of reality is primordially the union of appearance and emptiness, and it is impossible to pass into sorrow in a mere realm of emptiness. This is because the essence of the Sugata-garbha, the naturally luminous, uncompounded realm, is the key to being free from increase and decrease. Therefore, all dharmas of both the conventional and ultimate are the union of emptiness and the appearance of dependent arising, and it is never possible to separate them. In general, the appearance of both samsara and nirvana can never cease. If there is appearance, then it is designated as emptiness, but the non-existence of appearance, such as the horns of a rabbit, is not the meaning of emptiness. Because it is non-existent in conventional terms. Even if the horns of a rabbit are labeled as "empty horns," it means utter non-existence. Emptiness is the nature of all phenomena that exist in conventional terms. Although there is no dharma of samsara and nirvana that is not such emptiness, emptiness is not like the emptiness of a rabbit's horn, which is empty and does not appear. Therefore, this emptiness should be established as the nature or reality of all phenomena that exist in conventional terms, and it is never appropriate to establish it as the nature of something that does not exist in conventional terms. The reason for this is that the basis for engaging in substantialism and mistaking liberation is conventional dependence.
