If so, that matter is like thinking that a rabbit has no horns, it is an object of consciousness with conceptualization. It is not an object directly perceived by non-conceptual equipoise wisdom. What is the need to ascertain the emptiness of such words? Also, if it is said that the nature of all phenomena is not found by examining the ultimate truth, therefore calling emptiness unreal is not contradictory. If it is promised that all phenomena are not empty of their own nature, then why can't conventional truth be examined by reason? If it cannot be examined, then it should be admitted as emptiness. If it is not empty, why can't it be examined? In that case, the dharma would become truly established, how could true establishment be empty? Moreover, it would excessively lead to the non-negation of ultimate birth. Because the self-nature or self-characteristic of birth is not negated by the ultimate truth, there would be ultimate birth, or birth and vase etc. all phenomena would become ultimately existent. Also, it would excessively lead to the equipoise of the noble ones becoming the cause of the destruction of things. Because at the time of directly realizing emptiness, if it must be thought that the equipoise is non-appearing, in that equipoise's presence no dharma appears, the equipoise is non-appearing. All phenomena are not emptiness that is inherently unobtainable, but it does not appear in the equipoise that directly realizes emptiness, so the equipoise of the noble ones will become the cause of the destruction of all things such as vases. If all phenomena are empty of self-nature, then none of those three faults would exist. Because all phenomena cannot be examined by the intellect of ultimate truth, there is no dharma that exists ultimately. Therefore, it does not appear in the presence of the wisdom that realizes ultimate truth. Because all phenomena are originally the emptiness of emptiness, that is directly realized, it is not made non-existent by it. The sutra says: Emptiness does not make the dharmas empty, but all dharmas are empty by their own nature. Therefore, for those that appear conventionally such as vases, while remembering the meaning of the reason that was not found in the presence of the intellect of ultimate truth. Although it appears like this, there is not even a mote of dust that is established as it appears, think like this. If one becomes accustomed to that, and the habit of emptiness becomes strong, then one will not be harmed by objects of attachment, hatred, and fear etc. Thinking in the mind that this is not true, if one examines without error.

Even if the meanings are similar, just as before, something that is determined to be not empty and truly established from its own perspective, and judged to be empty by other things. Even if you think in your mind, "This has no truth," because this thing exists with its own nature and is not empty, it will generate all self-characterized conceptualizations such as attachment, hatred, fear, and suffering. The mere word "no truth," and the conceptualization of imposing a true emptiness on something that is not empty in its own nature, will never prevent attachment to the objects of attachment, hatred, etc. No matter how accustomed to this, one cannot escape from it. Therefore, what can be refuted by the reasoning of emptiness are the two selves. Do not merely follow the verbal terms that are not just phenomena and persons. If, in the investigation of ultimate truth, the nature of phenomena and persons is not refuted, but the investigation is conducted in a way that blocks independently existing objects of refutation, this will lead to an error in wisdom. The ultimate truth investigation refutes or does not observe the nature of persons and phenomena, which is called the selflessness of phenomena and persons. Even though it does not observe phenomena and persons, the existence of phenomena and persons is not denied in the presence of the observer of conventional terms. Therefore, the object of refutation is the two selves, and the terms that are not phenomena and persons can also exist without fault. Therefore, it is necessary to understand how the nature of things causes the two truths to appear without contradiction. The ultimate truth investigation itself does not need to have both a phenomenon that needs to be refuted and something that is not refuted but remains in the share of conventional terms. As it says in the *Entering the Middle Way*: "It is not reasonable for things to arise from themselves, from others, or from both. Therefore, from what does your arising come?" and "That entity does not arise from other conditions, therefore it is the source of worldly arising." etc. Regarding this, the Svātantrika's addition of the distinction of true establishment in order not to negate the self-character of conventional terms is unreasonable. Abandoning this point, which points out the special way in which the Prāsaṅgika establishes emptiness, what is the reason for not abandoning the Svātantrika's view even though admitting to being a Prāsaṅgika? Therefore, if one is not good at distinguishing, then for these two, sometimes it seems that there is no difference in understanding, and sometimes it seems that there is a great difference. Like wool tangled together, even if they refute each other, they are powerless, and it is difficult to generate a decisive understanding from it. The key is whether all phenomena are empty or not empty in their own nature.
