Everything must be such that it is impossible to appear in conventional truth. However, as it is said, "You and this world argue," etc., it is impossible. Therefore, the extreme of falling into any side is refuted, and thus the Middle Way is established. Those who say, "Self-nature is not empty, other-nature is truly established," think that if it is empty, it is impossible to appear. Even if they do not want self-emptiness in this way, there is no emptiness in reality that is greater than the fact that what exists in conventional truth does not exist in ultimate truth; it is merely a verbal expression. Thus, when the two truths appear separately, appearance refutes the extreme of non-existence, and there is nothing other than existence in conventional truth. Emptiness also refutes the extreme of existence, and there is nothing other than non-existence in ultimate truth or non-existence of true establishment. Therefore, these two have the same meaning. However, if self-nature is empty, it is not necessary to be non-existent in conventional truth, which comes about by the nature of things. To eliminate contradictions, it is not possible to eliminate contradictions by accepting something like emptiness by other-nature. If the pot is not empty by itself, then the pot itself will not be empty. If it is not empty by itself, even if it is empty by other dharmas, appearance and emptiness will not appear as one, because the meanings are different. For example, in conventional truth, the pot itself is not empty, and the emptiness of being empty by cloth is not the same in meaning. If the pot itself is not empty, then the pot itself will not be empty by true establishment, and the pot itself will become truly established. Therefore, the non-existence of true establishment is contradictory. If these two have no difference in meaning, then appearance and emptiness and truth do not exist, so it is harmed by the four faults of the oneness of the two truths. If we consider the nature of the inseparability of the two truths, there is no need to separate the two truths, because that itself is free from all elaborations. The state of inseparability of appearance and emptiness, that subject, should be free from the four extremes. It is not one extreme of existence, nor one extreme of non-existence, nor both. Because both are inseparable without being different, and even though they are inseparable, they are not both, because there is no basis for focusing on the three aggregates. Even if it is inseparability without two dharmas, like the state of Vajrasattva being neuter. An example is given of a neuter being neither male nor female. The Kalachakra says: This is neither wisdom nor means. Conventional and ultimate, etc., wherever
