Other classifications established by the name of realms are actually all included within the eighteen realms. In the detailed classification of realms, among the eighteen realms, those that belong to the form realm are the ten realms of the five faculties and the five objects, and a part of the dharma realm. The rest are not of the form realm. What can be seen by the eye is only the form realm; the rest are invisible. What have mutual obstruction are the five faculties and the five objects, that is, the ten form realms; the rest are without obstruction. The uncontaminated are the last three realms: mind, consciousness, and the mental factors of the dharma realm that belong to the path truth and the unconditioned. Apart from these, the remaining realms are the manifest objects of experience for the arising of afflictions, therefore they are contaminated. In the desire realm, all realms are present. In the form realm, there are fourteen realms, excluding the realms of smell, taste, and nose and tongue consciousnesses. In the formless realm, there is a part of the last three realms. The seven mind realms, as well as form, sound, and the ten dharma realms, all have the three qualities of virtuous, non-virtuous, and neutral. The rest are neutral. The six realms of form, sound, smell, taste, touch, and dharma are external; the remaining twelve are internal. What have objects are the seven mind realms and a part of the dharma realm's mental factors. The rest are without objects. What have conceptualization are the parts of mind and consciousness, and the parts of the mental factors of the dharma realm that have conceptualization. What are apprehended by one's own continuum of feeling are the five faculties and the nine internal form, smell, taste, and touch. A part of the dharma realm, the unconditioned, is permanent; the rest are conditioned and impermanent. The five faculties and mind and mental factors are the grasper, and the rest are the grasped. What have both investigation and analysis are the five consciousness realms. Mind, mind realm, and mental factors have both investigation and analysis, neither, and the three of no investigation but with analysis. The rest of these do not have investigation and analysis. The ten form realms are accumulations of particles. The rest are not accumulations. What are the agents of cutting and what are to be cut are only the four: form, smell, taste, and touch; burning and measuring are also the same. The ten form realms and the five, such as eye consciousness, are to be abandoned by meditation. The last three realms have the three categories of what are to be abandoned by seeing and meditation, and what are not to be abandoned. The differences of the three realms of existence

Yes! The Vipāka and Adhipati-phala are the five inner sense faculties. The seven consciousness-dhātus born from the Hetu-sadṛśa of one's own kind and the Vipāka, and the mental factors that are one aspect of the Dharma-dhātu, i.e., some parts of the eight unobstructed ones. Sound is not permanent, so it is not born from Vipāka. The cause of making sounds pleasant or unpleasant, such as the shape of the throat, etc., is born from Vipāka. The remainder of these, i.e., the existing aggregates of sense faculties, have three origins: Hetu-sadṛśa, Adhipati-phala, and Vipāka-phala. The external realms are only from Hetu-sadṛśa. Adhipati-phala refers to the four causes of bodily growth: food, proper actions such as massage and rubbing, sleep, and Samādhi. The sense faculties that directly support their own consciousness, such as the state of the eye faculty when awake and perceiving forms, are called supported sense faculties. Those that are not, such as the eye faculty when asleep, are called similar. The body of the upper realm does not rely on the eyes of the lower realm, because in its own realm there are excellent eyes. The eye faculty of the lower realm cannot see the forms of the upper realm because they are too subtle. The same is true for the ears. If someone in the desire realm obtains divine eyes and ears through the power of meditation, then the pure sense faculties, with the elements gathered from the Dhyāna-deva realm as their cause, arise in the apertures of their own eyes and ears. These sense faculties are always supported, without any incompleteness like that of the deaf and dumb, and they can see and hear distant and subtle forms, as well as things that are obscured and obstructed. That is, through the sense faculties of the first Dhyāna, one can understand one's own realm and the objects of the desire realm, etc. Such divine eyes are possessed by Arhats, who can see two thousand worlds; by Pratyekabuddhas like the rhinoceros, who can see three thousand worlds; and by Buddhas, who can see countless worlds. Even if divine eyes are not obtained in this life through the power of meditating on Dhyāna, there are those who obtain them at birth, born from the Vipāka of previous meditation, etc., but it is said that they cannot see the Bardo. Therefore, one should understand the various ways in which the sense faculties and consciousness of the upper and lower realms arise. End of the section on realms. The twelve Āyatanas are: the eye-dhātu and the eye-āyatana have the same meaning, each of their own.
