Due to practice, it is like a precious wheel. Discriminating Dharma well is a branch of self-nature, that is, the nature of wisdom that sees the truth, destroying all characteristics, like a precious elephant, it can cut off unfavorable aspects. Diligence is a branch of definite arising, and for the direct perception to be realized by oneself, it will definitely arise or work hard, just like a precious horse, it can go wherever one wants. Joy is a branch of benefit, seeing the manifestation of the Dharma of truth, the joy of increasing makes the body and mind vast and pervasive, just like the light of a precious jewel pervades. Pliability and the other three are branches of non-affliction, and among them, pliability is the place of non-affliction, that is, it is made capable by the bliss of extreme pliability of body and mind, becoming the place of the non-afflicted mind, just like the precious concubine gives the pleasure of touch. Samadhi is a branch of the basis of non-affliction, that is, it does not generate afflictions, and the mind abides in one-pointedness, thereby accomplishing all the meanings that are thought of, just like the precious householder can generate all the desired wealth. Equanimity is the nature of non-affliction, that is, the nature of being free from attachment, aversion, etc., thereby, one can abide in the abode of the noble ones as one wishes, just like the precious minister can make the assembly of the army go, abide, and return. Thus, for a Bodhisattva like a Chakravartin, he possesses the wealth of the seven branches of enlightenment like the seven precious royal possessions. Meditating on these seven branches of enlightenment, each branch is also free from suffering, free from attachment to arising, abiding in cessation, and practicing to completely transform the path of abandonment, meaning abiding in the realization of the Dharma nature of the four truths, and practicing from top to top. The result is what is abandoned by seeing what is to be abandoned. The eight noble path branches are: Right view is the noble path, similarly, right thought, right speech, right action boundary, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness, right samadhi is the noble path. The objects of these are the four truths.
