Count two. Here it is said to be thirty-three, not counting the Buddha, but counting the Asuras and the intermediate state. It is like combining non-vows and non-vows that are also not non-vows into one, but everything else is the same. Among them, vows are like individual liberation vows. Non-vows refer to the desire to engage in non-virtuous deeds for as long as one lives. These two are in terms of one lifetime. Intermediate vows refer to promising to engage in virtuous or non-virtuous deeds during months and days, etc. Sthavira refers to having received full ordination and having been ten years or more, possessing the qualities of stability and expertise. New learner refers to having renounced or received full ordination in the Dharma not long ago. Intermediate refers to those who have received full ordination for about five years, have not yet become Sthavira, but are older than the new learners. Khenpo refers to the ordainer or the one who causes full ordination. Acharya is: the novice Acharya who gives refuge vows and precepts, the secret informer, the person in charge of affairs, the one who gives residence, and the five chanting Acharyas. Those who live together with the Khenpos are called attendants; disciples are called close attendants. The sudden visitor refers to other monks suddenly coming to the monastery of the Sangha. The person in charge of the Sangha's affairs refers to lay people, etc., who repair monasteries, etc. Eight times: residing in the womb refers to curds, etc. Being born from the womb refers to being born. The stage after birth when one cannot play is childhood. Being able to play is adolescence. Being able to engage in sexual desire is youth. Below fifty is adulthood. Below seventy is old age. Below that is the time of aging. Six livelihoods: farming, animal husbandry, and business can be understood. Living by share refers to the king who is said to live by share here, which refers to the name of living by relying on the power of the king, etc. Writing and joking refers to making a living by writing, and calculating the number of objects by joking with the mastery of numbers. The profession of arithmetic refers to relying on large arithmetic such as astrology, and relying on small arithmetic hand calculation to show what to take and what to abandon, and relying on any craft other than those to make a living. The seven prides are: thinking that oneself is superior to the small, or being proud of thinking that those who are equal to oneself are equal is pride.

Thinking oneself equal to the noble and supreme is excessive pride or great pride. Focusing on the particularly noble and supreme, thinking oneself even more noble and supreme than that is pride beyond pride. Grasping the five aggregates of appropriation as self and mine, feeling content with the thought of "I" is the pride of "I am." Thinking oneself slightly inferior to the most noble and supreme, but feeling good about oneself is slight pride. Claiming to have attained qualities of contaminated and uncontaminated that have not been attained is manifest pride. Feeling content with oneself by considering non-qualities such as striving for killing and cutting as qualities is wrong pride. The seven prides are: being satisfied and complacent or attached in mind with one's own youth, learning, etc. The many bases of terminology are generally the various terminologies of affirmation and negation established for the objects of the six consciousnesses. The bases of the three terminologies of knowing, speaking, and acting are the bases of words that are definite in the context in which they apply, as well as the bases of elaboration and the bases of condensed meaning; these are synonyms. Among these, many are taught in the Ground of the Bodhisattva. Here, the approximately ten divisions of the Dharma realm, the object of mind, are arranged as symbols. In detail, the divisions of inner and outer sources are explained as six hundred and sixty, etc., which should be understood from the Section on Matters. In the sixth chapter, the destruction kalpa is when there are twenty increases and twenty decreases, so at forty, there is destruction. That is, at the end of the twenty intermediate kalpas of abiding, when it begins to increase upwards from the tenth, the beginning of destruction starts. After the three lower realms are emptied, people naturally attain meditative absorption and are born upwards, etc., until the third dhyana is gradually emptied. First, it is said that fire destroys seven times, which is considered to be when seven suns appear in succession, burning everything below the Brahma realm. After that, a stream of rain falls from the sky seven times, destroying everything below the first of the second dhyana. The ashes of the previous burning remain mixed with water. After that, a violent wind suddenly rises once, scattering everything below the third dhyana and the previous remnants in all directions, making nothing visible. Thus, in one destruction, all three of fire, water, and wind occur, and it is the way of destruction below the third dhyana, so it is completely different from the system of the Treasury, etc. A kalpa is when there is an upward increase.
