Thus spoke Gewa Tsen: The rain of flowers beautifies the three realms. Excellent teachings, a great treasure beyond price. The wish-fulfilling jewel for gatherings of intelligent beings. Even a treasury filled with various jewels, Compared to this, is like dew on the tip of a hair. Therefore, the supreme Dharma, the wish-fulfilling precious treasure, Without seeking where it dwells upon hearing of it, Constantly accumulating meager wealth without interruption, Is this life passing by worthy of one with discerning eyes? Having abandoned the lineage of the great sage, Complete and unerring in the vehicle of cause and effect, Constantly following the sway of others' words, Like a prince wandering among commoners, a vulgar sort. With the intellect of conceptual thought, like the eye of a needle, Words of pretension measuring the vastness of the profound meaning. To regard them as equal to the words of the sage, Who sees the truth as it is, is utterly deluded. In this true speech, many foolish practitioners, Turning their minds towards the Tirthikas, Without even a shred of shame, proclaim aloud, "This is The Great Perfection," such beings are numerous. From the excellent path of vast learning, In accordance with the profound essence of the heart's instructions, To properly enter the king of views of the supreme vehicle, Is the stainless tradition of the omniscient lineage. For the fortunate one who realizes that nature as it is, The means to ascertain this nature as it is, are all the excellent teachings that appear in writing, Therefore, strive to examine them thoroughly. Seeing that one's own mind is greatly tormented by the unbearable degenerate age, Having arisen from sorrow, on a solitary mountainside, Even though abiding in that state in one's heart, In this scripture of the omniscient Dharma king, Even when a slight task has come due, It is unbearable to abandon the intention of higher resolve, Therefore, according to the holy ones' exhortations, with one's own ability, I engage in single-pointed effort in this manner. By way of example, may all beings, boundless in number, At the joyous feast of accomplishing the two benefits, Both temporary and ultimate, as desired, Enjoy all that they wish! Thus, written by Mipham Nampar Gyalwa, the reviser who reverently holds the dust of the feet of many holy beings, such as Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo, the very embodiment of Manjushri, and Khen Rinpoche Pema Vajra, upon his crown. Mangalam! Auspicious! Auspicious! Auspicious! To clarify the various difficult points of the Wish-Fulfilling Jewel Treasury.
