It is a unique and amazing way of explaining how one can establish his life and activities as stated in the sutras. Thus, a single decreasing eon is longer than a single intermediate eon, and much longer than an increasing and decreasing eon. Therefore, these twenty abiding intermediate eons are not equal in length. It is generally believed that the sum of the lengths of the decreasing and increasing eons is equal to the sum of the lengths of the eighteen empty eons. In the case of the nine remaining inversions, irrational desire is: like seeking the wealth of others through theft, power, and seduction, clinging to unreasonable things. Illegal desire is: like engaging in adultery and prostitution, clinging to illegal enjoyments. False Dharma is like the religions of some kings and Brahmins, which cause harm in the next life through illegal actions, and that is what is called false Dharma. Therefore, it is shown in the sutras that people will develop these three evil illegal actions because of seeking pleasure, territory, and good rebirths. Regarding the distinctions of Dharma in terms of place and time, the seventeen things that are possessed are: seven are spoken of from the essence of the earth, only the first eleven things are combined, and the number is the same. Other than that, everything else is easy to understand. The term "working to achieve immediate needs" and "living by power," its Sanskrit is: "Power" is an ancient word, and its direct meaning is ability or strength. Therefore, although there are many situations, such as relying on kings, etc., living by their power, such as tax collectors, etc. But here, saying "living by power" mainly refers to those who live by relying on their power, that is, referring to kings or householders, etc., those who live in their homes relying on their kindness are also counted as possessed things. Friendly and agreeable friends, ministers who participate in discussions and work, relatives are on the father's side, in-laws are relatives on the mother's side, items for sale are various goods for sale, accumulating merit is doing good deeds, accumulating wealth is property, and the end of work.
