If it is one, there will be no mistaken conception of giving as giving, and no mistaken conception of giving as sacrifice, because the two are one. Like that and so on. In the context of the Lokayata, there is no past or future life, because body and mind are one substance. And so on, the meaning of which is explained in sequence by the body dissolving into atoms, etc. Here, "with two" means that the Lokayata establishes the reasoning that there is no other world, and they hope to establish it through sophistry, so they say this: The pot, as the subject, is a person who does not come from the other world, or is with any two pots, because it is a non-utpala object, like a wall with a pot. Or, connect the subject, reason, and example in the same way with the body of a person whose body and mind are one substance and with any two pots. Whichever of the two, the meaning is the same. Because they cannot directly establish the reasoning to prove that there is no other world, they establish the pot as the body of a person whose body and mind are one substance, or as with two people who do not come from the other world, and establish non-utpala as the reason, thinking: The pot has the pervasiveness of non-utpala. For example, when a pot is placed next to a wall, the wall has the pervasiveness of any two, because the wall is a non-utpala object and is also with two pots. In that case, the subject pot in the situation cannot be with two or a companion of the pot itself, because the companion mentioned here can only be a person who does not come from the other world, or with two people whose body and mind are one substance, so they hope to establish it through sophistry. If it is an object, then the pervasiveness of being with two other objects is common. Because objects are not only one, but can be many, any object can be counted as being with two, itself and another. Therefore, even if it is a non-utpala object, it is only with two. Considering this, when stating, putting the words of a person as an auxiliary to the words, if you want to be with two, then the two of the person is established.

This is inevitable. Some say that this person does not come from another world, but has the attribute of being of the same essence of body and mind, but in reality, this person does not come from another world, because the essence of body and mind is the same, so there is no mind before the body, and no mind after the body is destroyed, so it is thought that there is no past or future life. If it is said that such a person exists alone and has duality, then because of the fear of not being able to show the continuation of the example, tricks such as "the duality of the vase and any one" are used. Such a false sign cannot prove what is desired, so it is useless. Rather than teaching the Dharma, it is better to say that it is like a madman talking nonsense, and there is no benefit other than causing errors. Generally speaking, because things are many, the point that anything has duality is already established and does not need to be proven. If according to the meaning of the statement, then the duality of any one is not absolute, because neither the duality of the vase nor the duality of the suddenly appearing person is. The vase is contradictory to the vase. The suddenly appearing person is like a rabbit's horn, because the foundation is not established, so it is contradictory to say that it is duality. Therefore, even on a wall with a vase, there is only duality in general, but since there is no duality desired in this context at all, it is useless. If it is thought that it is okay not to distinguish between the body and the vase and to regard them as a common whole, that is also not okay, because the so-called "any one that is not the body and the vase" has no other meaning. Then, if it is said that "sound is the subject, it is impermanent, because it is created, like a vase," then the created and impermanent that exist in common in the example and the subject also do not exist, so this is also not established, this is not the same. It is possible to prove only impermanence without distinguishing between sound and vase, because sound and vase are not different in terms of impermanence, so impermanence exists in both. However, if the so-called "the whole of any one of the body and the vase" has other meanings, then just as the vase has impermanence, there must also be the so-called "any one of the body and the vase," but this is impossible. Therefore, it is shameful to propose such a sign. As it is said in the Pramāṇavārttika: "What is said is empty, because it is defiled by not understanding this and that." Just like that. On the occasion of refuting the same essence of body and mind
